"Visited the pub many times, always a good atmosphere. Stayed overnight at New Year and the room was lovely, clean and spacious with comfortable hotel standard bed and bedding. James and Hayley are fantastic friendly hosts whether you’re just popping in for a drink or staying over. Would definitely recommend"

"Room was light and airy. Family room with a double & single bed. Comfortable and dean with fresh towels. Tea & coffee making facilities and water in the mini fridge. No meals but a good selection of places to eat. The owner and staff were welcoming and friendly as were the customers which made my stay enjoyable. The only downside was the bathroom which could do with updating. Good bus service round the corner for Newark and Nottingham. Southwell minster cathedral just round the corner is worth a visit. Good base for exploring.."
