"Room was a bit shabby/ unclean in places although linen/towels were good. Couldn't get sink plug to pop up, so l lifted it out and plug was disgusting. Toilet pan was stained in bottom and there were some dirty grout areas in shower. Carpet was also a bit stained. I dont have a problem with wear and tear, but the sink incident make me shudder Bed was comfy and food in the restaurant was good. We had dinner which was good but they forgot about us after starters and we waited a long time. We had two teenagers who were very hungry. Staff did give us a 15% discount however because of our long wait. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were attentive and helpful. I heard hotel was being upgraded and l think it needs it, based on my room. Despite these issues, l did find the hotel comfortable to stay in. I hope once it has been upgraded these things will be addressed. Location is very good and quiet too."
"I fell in the hotel late at night. Amanda from reception was excellent. She stayed after her shift finished at 11pm staying with me to 11.35pm to make sure I was ok. She went above and beyond making me tea, a nice glass of iced water. She informed her colleagues of what had happened to me that if I needed anything in the middle of the night that they were not to hesitate and look after me. Thank you so much Amanda you made my stay so much more comfortable and showed me that someone cared."
"We came up to Belfast for a quick weekend away and this hotel was just what we were looking for! Located about a 10 minute walk from the main City Centre area, we were really impressed with the location. Super friendly staff and lovely Christmas decorations. We didn’t get to enjoy the bar/restaurant due to how quick our stay was but it’s window look out onto the lake beside it. Our room was nice and big with a standard bathroom. Comfy bed and gorgeous high ceilings we definitely a plus for us. Staff all seemed very friendly and the online check-in / check-out is a great feature We will be coming back to Belfast in April for another trip and we think we have found where we will be staying."
"-Dirty, mould infested bathroom - Rude reception staff - tired and shabby communal areas We selected the Radisson Blu Belfast for our trip to the city, given the brands reputation for delivering a nice contemporary hotel experience. As a Premium club member, we were not offered early check in or a room upgrade which is fairly standard when staying with Radisson. This in itself was disappointing but not the end of the world. Once we did check in, the standard of the room was shocking. The bathroom was full of mild and the shower head disgusting. Having complained to the hotel by email, they allegedly deep cleaned the bathroom. This did not eradicate the mould infestation. A bit of bleach and regular maintenance is sufficient to solve mould issues in bathrooms, it’s not rocket science. Having further complaining to reception and requesting at the very least a new shower head, the staff were rude and not at all accommodating, stating that nothing could be done as it was a plumbers job (it’s a shower head!). The staff member on reception advised they were short on staff and so nobody was available (our shower head remains in reception as they wouldn’t give it back to us!) Another instance of the staff citing staff shortages for lack of service was when we decided to order two pizzas on the 24hour room service menu. At first, we were advised that there was no room service due to the said staff shortages! In the end, the concierge reluctantly conceded and allowed us to order the pizzas. Also, don’t expect a fridge in your room, that space is boarded up. On a positive, the breakfast is good! In summary, don’t bother staying here. The hotel is tired, the rooms mouldy and the staff (for the most part) the rudest I’ve encountered. Radisson should strip them or their franchise, the recent reviews are clearly damaging."
"Always love staying at Radisson Belfast for good service, good location and great nights sleep. Bathrooms are getting a bit jaded and some areas need a bit of an upgrade, but still good. They do seem to have a bit of a problem with anti social behaviour from some local youths however the staff were on top of it and so I still felt safe. I did feel sorry for them though. All in all I always like to stay here when I'm in Belfast."
