"I was part of a bridal party staying here so we had a lot of things to carry. We booked the hotel as it had a lift, however when we got there the lift wasn't working and hadn't been for weeks. We had people with mobility issues in our party and my room was on the fourth floor. The bride and mother of the bride really struggled to climb the 90 steps to the room with our belongings. This was a nightmare the morning of the wedding as we had to move between rooms for hair and make up. The rooms are a lot smaller than they look on the photos and being honest aren't worth the price we paid. I had issues with my room card, not being able to get into the room I was sharing with the bride on the Friday, and the same issues with cards not working with my own room on the Saturday. The decor is dated, some of the walls are damp, it needs a revamp. The staff were OK, but none of them great. Overall the hotel is not worth the money we paid."
"Excellent’ !! My husband and I have come to England several times and have found ourselves in different kinds of hotels, first of all I want to give a big thanks to Joe in the front desk for being so friendly and kind he really made us feel welcomed from the moment we came in. He was nice enough to explain to us how to get to the underground picadilly line which can get you to any of the main attractions it js about a 2-3 min walk from the hotel. I see a lot of people have complained about the room being small, yes they are quite small but what do you expect from London hotels. They will all be small. But honestly going with me And my husband we found the room to be just right .. super cozy the bed was comfortably soft we slept like babies. Honestly we have no complaints we had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We stayed once at Tower Bridge hotel which is supposed to be a fancy high end hotel, 1. The staff was unfriendly 2. The hotel had no CENTRAL AIR we were baking in the summer the gave us an old fan to help with the heat.., at Hotel Moonlight you’ll find they have central air! A must when it’s warm outside! We will definitely keep booking with them."
"The "No Staff" letter was not a good thing to see when you just got off a long intl flight, need to secure luggage before check-in time, and need to use the facilities. Please, staff appropriately. Will update review as I go. 1 star given Update: Duration of stay: 1 night There was still no front desk staff there at 10:25am. Luckily, the cleaning crew was there to take my luggage, but left it out in the hallway, unsecured. It's a nice hotel in an area with a lot of diversity (heard all sorts of languages), shops and restaurants/cafes. It feels safe at night, even if you're taking the underground by yourself. Very convenient location. It has a decent elevator and a nice fruit bowl for guests. Tissues and books are in the small lobby - nice touches. After traveling to London to see the changing of the guards, I missed it completely because there was no hotel staff to let me into the hotel. Big bummer. Joe manned the desk in the afternoon. He was very nice, very helpful. But no walking maps of the area and definitely no wine or chocolates offered. He did help me figure out a route to my next event - he's great! Room was very small, but quiet enough - not drafty and quite cozy. The bathroom smelled and looked clean. A fridge and microwave were tucked smartly into wood furniture. Space is used efficiently. There's a purplish light outside the windows that the curtains took care of. The room had great temperature controls. It was about 15°C outside and I could easily turn the temps up or down. The room smelled clean, not dusty, dirty or musty. There was some mold on the tiles of the shower and a broken ceiling light, but it didn't affect the stay. Great location, great charm, great staff (when there). Fix the staff situation and I'd gladly give them 5 stars. Will definitely recommend & visit again."
"Staff were really nice. Location was fantastic. Even though there were a few flaws during our stay in the hotel, the staff made the efforts to make things right. We understand that nothing is perfect, bit it is how they handled the situation that matters. Four stars for the bathroom because of the towel rack. The rack was located in a dangerous position. My head banged on it a couple of times. I loved the fact that the hotel provided a smart phone with unlimited data while we stayed in UK. That saved us some money for sure. If I can choose again, I would definitely recommend this hotel. I give this review a five star based on the staffs and services they provided."
"I will go back to this hotel in a heartbeat. I was greeted with a handsome smile and the gentlemen knew my name, I guess I do look like a Cinnamon maybe. I arrived on my birthday and in my room they had left a bottle of wine and some chocolates. Also there was a personal note from the hotel wishing me a happy birthday. Earls Tube was the closest tube station, about or less than a 5 minute walk. They also provided me with an easy travel phone, this allowed me to call home to my parents and have data access while I was out and about. This hotel is excellent. The rooms are small, but it fit my taste. I loved the room size! The bed was awesome as well, the best sleep I had while on vacation! I will definitely stay here next time. Walking distance to endless restaurants, pubs, stores and even massage polar etc. Thank you for an awesome experience!"
