"My family and I visited The Funky Monk today for Sunday lunch. The food was really good; the service was what you would expect from a high end restaurant - Friendly, efficient and attentive. Couldn't fault it. Will definitely be back."

"Nice decor and ambience, friendly staff. Good Sunday roast. Unfortunately the starter of grilled prawns and prawn cocktail were really poor, as was a miso cod main. Overcooked and bland. To their credit the staff dealt with it well and it was removed from the bill. Disappointing though as had high hopes. As mentioned the Sunday roast was decent, I’m sure once the kitchen catches up with the rest of the venue it will be great."

"Worst experience to date…. Booked a table 24hr confirmation call then once arrived waited an hour for our table cos the hostess gave our table away to a walk in then told to come to our table three times which wasn’t ready. My steak was well done when I asked for medium we’ll come in guys you need to sort it out and treat customers correctly to go alongside with your decor in restaurant."

"Really couldn’t fault the place at all, creative and extravagant decor. Attentive staff who make you feel like the most important people in the room and most importantly of all the food is fantastic. Such a lively crowd and we’ll heeled clientele as well, can’t wait to go back."
