"Came here for a drink a few weeks ago for the first time, loved the look of the place so went for dinner tonight with the family to try somewhere new as we love a great gastro pub. Firstly we noticed how expensive everything is, Food is way over-priced. Especially crazy prices for minor things - £2 to add cheese or bacon to a £16-18 burger or £8 to add salmon on to a £16 salad. Madness really. But, we were all up for trying it, as if it’s great, we’d be happy to pay. If you’re charging £12.50 for a starter it better be amazing and whilst our prawn cocktail was decent enough, the squid was basic. Service was SLOW and inattentive and we had to keep asking for service, as they kept forgetting about us. Last straw was getting an uncooked chicken burger, sending it back and then 5 min later our server checking in that everything was okay. Madness. So many of these things are forgiven if proper apologies are made, or managers come to apologise about the fact that you’ve eaten a couple of big bites from some uncooked chicken, maybe even try to make it up to you, etc etc. But to charge these prices, take so long and then not acknowledge any of it - it’s awful. You’d be a bit more forgiving if the prices were more regular. However at those prices it’s blatantly a one star place. It’s a shame as we thought we’d found a new spot."

"I visited this restaurant few years ago for my birthday and once in-between the pandemic. I must say the owners are very rude abruptly and I would not waste any time and money there in the future if I were you. The only good thing about this restaurant were the pleasant waiters not the owners!"

"Really impressed. We dined as a table of 6 and while there was quite a wait for food, we were given the heads up by our lovely waitress when ordering - which makes the world of difference! The food was delicious, (maybe the best starter I've ever eaten) the wine was lovely, the Guinness was great and the service was fantastic. We all left very happy."
