"Basic hotel, good location. But what ruined the experience for me was that the receptionist demanded to see the credit card my room was booked with. I had lost my wallet earlier and did not have a photo of my card in my phone. They say it’s their policy to verify the identity of the card holder. But that verification happened when I booked the room online: American Express uses a 2 step verification process to ensure my card is not used by others. It isn’t the hotel’s responsibility to verify again that the guest is the rightful owner of the credit card. Besides, what if your work books your accommodation for you? Or you don’t have a credit card and borrowed one from a friend to make a booking and paid them back? Not every hotel night is paid by the guest themselves. They ended up taking another payment on another card, and told me I should trust them to refund the original payment. It did come through two days later but made the check in unnecessarily stressful and frustrating. I checked my booking and it’s not mentioned anywhere in their policies that showing the credit card used for payment should be present at check in."

"Nice cosy hotel just a short walk away from King's Cross / St Pancras station, very convenient location. Pleasant and helpful front desk team, and the housekeeping was excellent. The family room came with a pantry (with a microwave oven and kettle)."

"We have been welcome by Darren, a very kind and professional person. As we arrived very early they left our bags directly in the room before our arrival at night. The hotel was comfortable and clean. We spent there only 1 night but was worth, kind staff, clean and comfortable spaces and great reception. Free luggage storage when we left. Warmly recommended!"

"The Suites at St Pancras Hotel Group was absolutely perfect for us. What made this hotel perfect, besides its location next to the train station, was Darren, the hotel manager. Darren went out of his way to help out with our group's unique needs. He was not only helpful and courteous via email prior to our stay as I was planning the trip but he was amazing in person. From guiding us with a local map, to giving us advice, to sending me a much needed bus schedule, to arranging for airport transportation, Darren was excellent. The room for 4 was of great size and had enough space, including a little table/chairs, a refrigerator, bottles of water...simply just perfect for our 3 night stay. THANKS to Darren and his entire staff. The room could not have been cleaner or neater."

"We stayed 4 nights at the Suites, and had a very good experience. Super convenient to the Tube/Rail station, but on a quiet side street, the Suites are a great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of the action, but without the crowds of a large hotel. Darren and the whole staff were very friendly and accommodating. I’d recommend checking out some of the local pubs and restaurants back in the neighborhood."
