Reviews of No.8 Willesden Green
"This hostel wasn't expensive and that's the main reason I booked it. It was really cold inside (people slept in their jackets). I expected EU adapters to be available there. Key deposit was 20£. It's not possible to pay there by card. I wouldn't like to go back there."
"I was 1 week in this magnificent place. I was able to talk, resolve doubts with the staff, specifically Carolina and Diana, they were really super available to help me and very friendly. I have seen that the rooms are cleaned thoroughly. There are so many places to stay, but in this place you will feel at home."
"Avoid at all costs. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Where do I start with this place, after travelling hours my friends and I were greeted at reception by the rude receptionist, who informed us for the first time that they were a "cash only" business and when we asked why, they wouldn't answer us. After hours of searching for an ATM, we eventually paid for the room. Moving onto the room, the sheets were brown, the toilet was broken, the place smelled like sewage and dirt, and the room was actually damp with mold all over the walls. We stayed one night and then left, with no refund or reimbursement. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you like rude staff, disgusting rooms and moldy walls, this place is the place for you! Clearly a scam and just a dirty place overall."
"I read all the reviews before booking so I won't complain about what I expected - a cheap, old looking, semi-clean hostel. You get what you pay for. I actually had a very nice first week and a half, until I ran into the most unpleasant, unprofessional and rudest hospitality worker I've met in my entire life. The girl I'm referring to works at the reception and has some sort of a power trip. Why anybody employs such a rude and disgusting person to talk to people is beyond me. I still can't believe that today's situation actually happened and I didn't dream it. I came to reception, as you so when you need to talk to staff. She was under the desk doing something. When she saw/heard me, she jumped out looking petrified. At that moment she starts shouting at me saying that I'm a weirdo and asking me what am I doing. Mind you, I haven't said anything yet. I only came to the reception in the hostel I'm staying at to requests an early check out - following the email I received from them. My polite and reasonable requests was denied - I was again accused of being weird for no apparent reason. I hope that 20 pound deposit she stole from pays for some much needed chill pills. I would leave a 4 star review if this didn't happen, but it completely ruined my day and overall experience there. If someone actually cares about this hostel, please get rid of her cause she will run your place to the ground."
