"Thanks to Tori, my stay at the Holiday Inn was lovely. Check-in was unpleasant because of the service received when I checked in, but my stay was saved in the morning by the lovely Tori. She was very helpful and kind, she did everything, I asked to improve my stay. The bed, sheets and pillows were comfortable and thanks to the cleaning team, the room was spotless. Internet was a bit slow, due to the volume of persons using it, but still good. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast (it was excellent), but I think that they really need to work on improving their dinner service. Dinner was a disaster. It takes way too long to get the food. I almost told them to cancel the order (lost interest). There is a major disconnect between placing an order and serving the meal. The poor girl charged with serving the meals have no clue who placed the order for the food she was caring, so she was literally walking around the dining room asking everyone if the meal she was carrying was theirs (shameful). After being first to place an order, I was the last to be served. It took an hour and a half to get my meal and I really wouldn’t have mind the wait if the meal was good. Until they improve on this, my recommendation is to make alternative arrangements for dinner if you do decide to stay here."
"The room was absolutely filthy. The sheets had stains, there was dust everywhere. Dirty tissues were behind the bed. The room smelt of damp, there was an infestation of little flies and the temperature was poorly regulated. It was impossible to relax or enjoy our stay. Then to add to that our room door was opened by a member of staff prior to check out time waking us up out of our sleep."
"Food gone by 9.30 am, grab and go, was not informed before stay. Room was freezing had to put towels up at the window (room 111), key had to be re charged everyday for some weird reason. Was told free parking for guests and got £200 parking fines when I got home. The milk was in pots in the room and it was sour had to go out and buy some. The heater didn't work either but the guys on the desk were nice, shame they never did the job properly and put our cars in the system."
"The room was comfortable and relatively clean. There were some stains on the carpet. The shower had a slow drain, which mean I was stood in a puddle of water. Service was better. I asked for a late check out and it was no issue. Parking is available on site. The buffet breakfast was pretty much standard."
"Receptionists are very nice except their rude manager. It was very bad experience because of one manager who was very rude. Just request something in very polite way but she was so rude and her behaviours are like she is boss. I requested to complain one of upper level manager and she said just she is manager for everything. Because we discussed with her she gave us very bad room. Then i realized that she came from Birmingham airport for permanent. It was so clear because Brimingham Holidayy Inn is not good also :). Rooms are very very old and bed is uncomfortable. If you need to stay there because of location maybe it can be acceptable."
