The White Ferry, Victoria (PUBLOVE)

"I stayed in a female only room and it was perfect. The beds, room and the wash rooms were clean and pleasant. There are lockers in the rooms but you either have to bring your own lock or you can buy one for yourself (to keep) from reception for 4£ (Feb2023) The staff is adorable and welcoming. Tiny problems if I have to present somewhat of a critical review : (1) i would have liked a night lamp where the plugs are by the bed but it’s not the end of the world (2) it would have been cool to have paper towels in the wash rooms (3) although the pub downstairs is very pleasant to have, and doesn’t really bother anyone (by noise) there are some unpleasant fellows who were out front outside of the pub. I didn’t like talking to them and honestly felt like they were trying to scam/tourist trap me. Maybe it was just my bad luck but I wouldn’t spend much time outside of the pub. All that being said, the pub is really not a problem : no annoying noises, no problematic things INSIDE the pub - just some weird fellas out in front of it. Definitely would recommend. I stayed for a single night, so I can’t speak for the long term but 100% satisfactory for a short stay for sure!"

"The staff were lovely people. Shower very warm. Clean and comfy bed. Bathrooms were clean except morning before checkout. They were cleaning after checkout meaning in the morning animals that had peed all over toilet seats and other gross stuff was all still there. My only gripe is should be a morning toilets and shower clean earlier."

"I stayed here for 6 nights as a solo traveler, I met some lovely girls in the all female room. The location felt safe and was a comfortable walk to the underground and many buses. The staff was helpful with storing my luggage during my arrival and departure. My only reasons for not giving 5 stars was there was no breakfast available besides croissants and the bathrooms were definitely not cleaned frequently enough. I would recommend this hostel to others."

"If you want a cheap bed in a clean room in London, you can't go wrong. Nice little pub with friendly staff. 5 min walk from Victoria train/coach station. Great value and will definitely stay again"

"The state of the showers/bathrooms was expected for the price, they worked fine. So was the room condition. Unfortunately the service was nothing short of appalling. Most personnel were really nice and wanted to help us any way they could, but the communication between them seemed to lack. There were problems with the booking (they had stated that everything had worked out, but when we arrived there were problems none the less) and there were no breakfast alternatives even though we had payed for it to be included. We were promised free beers as compensation, which they could not deliver. Will not be staying at this place again, but the price was good I guess."
