"One of the cheapest options in downtown. Located extremely close to Paddington Station and perfect for us as a stopover before travel. The reviews make it sound terrifying but our check in was easy and confirmed through a 3rd party booking website. We arrived in the evening and quickly checked in though I wish I would have had 50 GBP cash for the deposit though it was put on my card. I wish I had cash because it's one less thing to follow up on if you're traveling. The room had standard linens, towels, and plenty of soap and shampoo sachets. Water pressure was fine and water was nice and hot for showering. The bathroom is a little cramped but adequate and expected for price. A small TV and wall mounted fan were there but I did not use either. There was also a small desk and kettle with complimentary coffee and milk in single serving capsules which was a nice touch. Not much of a view with another room jutting out on one side but it also had a relatively open view towards some nearby buildings. If anything the hotel was a little too close to the station and the trains were audible but also relatively infrequent. I got a good price nearly 70% cheaper than anywhere else in the vicinity so I was pleased with the value."
"Not many positives about this hotel, it is right next to Paddington station which is ideal if you are travelling. But everything else is just terrible. The facilities are small, old and not good. Things are falling apart in the toilet, have you ever tried to seat on the toilet sideways? Well that was a new experience for me! The windows are single glaze and tying to switch on the heater is nearly impossible to reach as it’s covered by a wooden box. For the price I payed I expected at least friendly staff but that was not the case, they actually quite rude and not welcoming at all. I won’t be coming back and definitely not recommend staying here."
"The heater was constantly on so it felt like Mordor. We set the thermostat to zero but somehow our room still remained like floor-is-lava. However, I must say that cleaning service was nice. Everyday we got fresh towels etc"
"room smelled musty and moldy, window barely closed. The anti junkie light in the bathroom’s a charming accent ( no, not really) and the dodgy electrical wiring, and the random shriek of your room’s smoke detector at 4 am will surely make for a pleasant stay. I just expected a bit better of a room costing 100/night, not say, the hilton across the street but maybe a little less…sketchy nightmare. There’s undoubtably better options and I’d suggest any traveller take them. Not this. It was one of my top 3 worst places to stay, ever."
"One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at, rooms were absolutely dirty, service was awful and just an overall horrible experience. Our first room didn’t have a working key and the room had live cockroaches running around. The staff didn’t do anything about the room but instead moved us to different rooms, the second room he lead us to had guests in there already. The last room he lead us to was at least decent but the sink was broken and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly, but the sheets of the beds still dirty and stained. The photos online of this hotel are misleading and looks nothing like how it is in person. Overall horrible experience and wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here. I have photo evidence of a cockroach we found at the hotel in the first room we were given."
