"This hotel is a pure scam. Indian lady at the reception was rude and barely communicating. Room was extremely tiny with very low ceiling and smelling moldy. It was overlooking a filthy backside with disturbing fan noise. Kindly asked them to change the room but they changed it to another room which was even dirtier than the one they gave me first. Not sure who operates and audits this, but even if you have to stay one night in London, think twice before choosing it as I couldn't bear to stay even until morning. I am not even talking about prices. It gives an impression that it should be a proper one but it doesn't even deserve 1 star with that extremely old and worn rooms. This was literally a robbery and I warn everyone not to book any room in this horrible hotel before seeing the room that you will stay there. Otherwise, they will treat you as they did to me and and steal your money for a disgusting place."
"The hotel is incredible beautiful, the staff super good and for sure you will have good service. The cocktail bar is super charming, cozy and with great atmosphere. I highly recommend the afternoon tea with a good group of friends is delicious, well served and fun."
"We went for this hotel to try their famous Afternoon Tea experience and it was definitely worth it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very yummy and the concept of the tea time there is based on the famous 80 days around the world story and the menu contains a collection of international tastes. Make sure to reserve before you go."
"We visited for afternoon tea. A luxurious and impeccable experience from start to finish. We felt the luxury from the moment we stepped in and took our seats. The parlour is beautiful with an actual fireplace and in a library style setting. Special shout out to the service which made our day even more special - we were given full attention and explained the menu properly along with suggestions for tea. They even do a vegetarian tea so please ask. The pastries, scones and sandwiches were yummy - especially the banoffee pie. I would highly recommend this experience - for me, the afternoon tea experience was even better than what I have experienced at the Ritz. Would certainly visit again!"
"The Kensington Hotel does the most exquisite afternoon teas and the library setting is beautiful. We came here after the lockdown and having, like many I’m sure, found service has been lacking at so many hospitality establishments around the country, this was a pleasant surprise. The service was impeccable and even better than other similar hotels we’ve experienced in London. Afternoon tea was so original, what a lovely afternoon."
