“I am a manager here now, but as a guest, this is a beautiful property and the rooms are reasonably priced. It is astounding to think such a peaceful location is a minute from Narangba Train Station. You will not want to leave.”

“Stayed in a Spa Suite on 2nd floor and was very impressed with the generous size and cleanliness of the Suite. It also had a large balcony that was accessible from both the lounge and bedroom overlooking a lovely lake. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet overnight which was great for a good sleep. Check in was easy and the gentleman on the desk was friendly and helpful. There was ample under cover parking on 3 levels.”

“First time visiting Cairns. I chose this accommodation for the position near the Esplanade and the pricing. The hotel is quite close to some very nice restaurants. The tour buses call to pick up tourists on a regular basis. A great spot if you enjoy walking. The staff were extremely nice. I arrived very early in the morning and was given the opportunity to leave my bags with them until my room was ready. I was also advised that I could either spend my day sightseeing or could laze by the pool. The pool won out as I was tired after the flight. One of the staff came out to tell me my room was ready around 1 pm. The room was spotless and quite spacious complete with a balcony. Great spot for people watching and a coffee. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you staff at the Cairns Queenslander. It was a very enjoyable stay.”

“Nice, relaxing, quiet, close to everything you need on foot, nice view, well maintained and very clean. Thanks to the managers Barry and Angie for being so awesome, that's why I love Straddie, no BS, just like a country town with an ocean as your front door. Get over here; enjoy, respect and spend up, the community needs the dollars flowing again. Magic place.”

“What we stayed at was a villa with an en-suit master room and an upstairs bedroom, which is conveniently suitable for my family. The staff were friendly. The resort is near to Home Beach, where has a stunning evening sea view. Just a 5-min walk. A 5-min drive can take to Cylinder Beach where my daughters had surfing lesson in a morning which was full of fun. A nice stay.”

“Clean, inviting rooms, in an area with several stores surrounding. Only staff member we met was professional and was willing to cater to our request for early check in. The area was relatively quiet, and allowed for a restful night. If you're not from Brisbane, there is easy access to the motorway, and the railway station seemed to be just around the corner. However, we can't confirm it is within walking distance Would recommend this hotel if you're after a place that's out of the way, and want a comfortable, clean, quiet place to rest.”
