You can clearly tell they put their heart and soul into this. I had a pot of tea with the homemade Vegan Biscoff cake, it was so tasty. Then I ordered a Feta and tomato toastie lunch, comes with crisps, salad and a soft drink, very nice indeed and the attention to detail is phenomenal. Will visit again...loved the whole experience, thank you. P. S you must visit the cute toilet too!!”

La Patisserie Shoreham
● Closed“The cake selection here is second to none in Shoreham.. You can't walk inside without buying something. Poke your head inside and take a look at the display its quite something.. Lovely contemporary selection. Also I go here for coffee and pastries. The coffee is well made and probably the cheapest in town. The do only do soya on the dairy free side but its still good. Friendly team and they work hard to keep the queue down.”

My eldest son loves all the different role play areas allowing him to dress up as a variety of characters, my youngest loves the dinosaurs and mud kitchen in the outside area and I love the coffee and cakes! It’s a great place for kids to meet other kids and to just enjoy themselves.”

The Little Cottage Tea Room And Garden
● Closed“Delighted with this Tea Room. It's our third visit and we have found the service and the quality of food to be exemplary. All of our visits have been on warm days and the lovely willow tree affords cool shade. The owners seem really bothered about the visit and make you very welcome. The staff are always checking to make sure you are being attended to throughout the visit. We had afternoon tea with clotted cream and jam. Delicious. Previous visits we have enjoyed the platter for two. Judging by the number of people and popularity, we shall phone ahead in future to make sure there is sufficient room for us. The handy shop adjoining the team room is great for cash withdrawals and essentials, including Flint Owl Bakery bread and local diary milk.”

Badgers Teahouse @The Old Village Bakery
● ClosedNorth Street, Alfriston, Polegate BN26 5UG, United Kingdom“Ended up coming here based on a recommendation and did not regret it one bit. Unfortunately they didn't have the cream tea that I ventured there for, but their Victoria sponge and flapjack were very worthy replacements. The five stars isn't just for the great tea or the cake, but more for the warm welcome and feeling during the visit, the lovely garden area and the friendly conversation from the recent owners. If you're in Alfriston or you're passing through, make sure to make a stop here. I'm sure you'll be writing a review of your own like this.”
