"I was followed around the tiny store by one of the volunteers who worked there, who came up to me asking if she could put the items I was holding upfront. I had two clothing items and a few miscellaneous items, such as a wallet and a small gift box. I politely declined the first two times and told her I was still deciding whether to purchase the items. After asking me three times in fifteen minutes, I agreed. As I continued to shop, I found another couple of items I was considering purchasing, and when I was asked to put those items upfront, I decided to leave the store in disgust"

The staff's amazing attitude and helpfulness have consistently impressed me with each visit. Knowing that everyone who works there is a volunteer adds an extra layer of appreciation for their commitment to the community. It's truly remarkable to see people giving their time and effort to support a cause they believe in, and it's a significant reason why I keep coming back. The selection of items always manages to surprise me. Whether I'm on the lookout for unique clothing pieces or interesting household items, I can count on finding something special every time I visit. However, there's one aspect that holds me back from giving it a full five-star rating - the cash-only policy. While I understand the importance of keeping costs down for the shop, it can be inconvenient in today's cashless society. I hope they eventually adopt alternative payment methods to make the shopping experience even smoother for all customers. Despite this minor inconvenience, Salpointe Thrift Shop remains one of my favorite places to explore regularly. Their incredible staff and commitment to making a positive impact in the community keep drawing me back. I highly recommend paying them a visit, especially if you're looking for a thrift store experience that warms your heart and allows you to contribute to a great cause. "I went their for the first time today its a great store I loved the 50% off deal but their wasn't much of a selection. Unfortunately it is cash only.The smell is absolutely awful (very musty). I thought it was just one room but its the entire store. I assume its the fact they wash the vintage items, the monsoon weather and the heat in such a small space. I do give them credit for trying to use fans but they should be trying to mask the smell better. ( the smell is like when you forget to put your car window in the rain and your seat gets soaked)"

"Smells funny, but not like what you’re thinking. It’s pretty bad. Good items and often some great selections of stuff that you can’t find anywhere else. For example, TONS of furniture to browse through! I was surprised. Just make sure you’re prepared for the smell..."
