"I walked in and the whole place smelled worse than normal. The girls at the front desk didnt even say hi or look up from their computers. Finally the one asked my dogs name and watched me struggle to get her on the scale while holding a baby. I was taken into the room which smelled and was filthy. Fur flying everywhere, dirt and a film on the seat. It was early in the morning, and didnt seem like they'd cleaned the night before. The tech came in after 10 min and asks the same questions as they do everytime like why I was there, even though they are the ones that requested the appointment. They ask if there are other concerns, even though I just filled it out on the sheet given to me. And those concerns are never addressed, theyve been my concerns the last 2 appointments. I dont expect you to remember my pet, but read the file, read the paper you're asking people to fill out, make it seem like you care. Its so transactional. This tech at least was kind enough to say good morning, unlike the one from our last appointment or the front desk staff. We have been on the wellness plan for our dog for almost 14 years and have not had an experience like this at any banfield. It has gone down hill in the last year and yesterday was my breaking point. We walked out without having the appointment. It also seemed sad to know they showed no sympathy when our dog lost her hearing due to ear drops that were prescribed for her. I know its a potential side effect, but they didnt seem to care in the slightest."

"I have been using PetSmart grooming for at least 13 years. I've gone to different stores depending on where I was living in Phoenix at the time. At this point in my life I have an old 13-year-old blind poodle he tends to be rather salty. I have complained about bad haircuts and bloody ears. Having just moved into a new home Agua Fria (Deer Valley) PetSmart I can honestly say I found the best groomer ever! Kudos to use Samantha Morales for taking your time and understanding my dog's behavior and why he needed to have these crazy ears. His ears help him navigate in tight spaces and Samantha did a great job and understood perfectly what I needed. He came out of PetSmart being proud of how we looked and strutting his poodle stuff! Samantha.... thank you so much for taking good care of my Beau. In addition to talent you have kindness and to me that's the perfect package!"

"They don't tell you that they will need for you to leave the dog for half a day. They don't tell you that they're going to put your dog into a kennel for half a day. Then they try to get you to pay for kennel cough meds for your dog when there is no sensible reason to have to put a dog in a kennel for half a day for a basic checkup and shots that if I go to a private veterinarian takes only 20 minutes. If they would have told me these things before I went to them I would have never used them and I will never use them again. Be where they do the same thing with washing your dog. They didn't tell me they would need her for half a day just to wash her and put her in a kennel for half a day until I was at the appointment already. I refused and left."

"If I could leave a zero I would. One vet visit over $700 for my cat. Signed up for insurance. Just cancelled, no longer have the cat and I owe a remaining balance of $139. None of this was explained to me. Out the door minus insurance would have been much less $250 roughly. Be careful what you sign up for, very shady. I stand by my review and experience with Banfield. I paid the $139 to close out the account. I will not recommend or be back."

"Yesterday was one of the hardest days of our lives, having to deal with putting our daughter's beloved cat to sleep after a sudden severe illness. Dr. Lieberman and the entire staff were so professional, compassionate, yet friendly and direct. I am personally very grateful to them all for helping us through this emotional ordeal. I can't imagine anyone handling our situation and our feelings better. She was the third vet we saw in a week, and while they were all pretty great, she had to deal with us at the end of things, so she got the hardest job. She was just perfect. Thank you so much."
