About the Business
Welcome to The Annex Gallery
Located at 1310 Pendleton Street in Cincinnati, Ohio, The Annex Gallery is a vibrant art space nestled within the Pendleton Art Center compound. Our 4,000 square foot gallery is dedicated to showcasing timely and socially relevant exhibitions featuring both local and international artists. Since our inception in 2017, we have been proud to host the Cuban art exchange project, fostering cultural dialogue and artistic collaboration.
Join us from September 25, 2024, to December 21, 2024, for "Through A Stranger’s Eyes," an extension of the Bridges Not Walls program. This arts and culture exchange will highlight the works of two Cuban artists, offering a unique perspective on global connections.
During the same period, explore "Willy Castellanos: Exodus. Alternate Documents (1994–2024)," a compelling exhibition that delves into Castellanos’ post-documentary practice, rooted in his photographic documentation of the 1994 Rafter Crisis in Havana, Cuba.
We invite you to our opening reception on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 1 PM to 4 PM, featuring "Common Ground," "For a Better World," and "Prints by Greater Cincinnati Artists." Experience a diverse array of artistic expressions and engage with the vibrant Cincinnati art scene.
Mark your calendar for an insightful artist talk by Robert Flischel on Wednesday evening, November 29th, as he discusses his new book, "What We Inherit, Documenting Poverty in Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky & Indiana, 1900-2023." This event will also feature the work of Bob Bloom, highlighting photography as a powerful agent of change.
In collaboration with the Fine Arts Ceramic Center and MoCa-Americas of Kendall, The Annex Gallery continues to be a beacon for thought-provoking art that brings to light our most profound social, economic, and environmental challenges.
