"Today my husband and I made the trip to this cemetery to see the grave of his birth mother, as he was adopted. We had found her grave from a grave site website. This was a long awaited journey and we were so disappointed that we were unable to find the grave because the cemetery has not been taken care of. Limbs were down and mowing was much needed as you couldn't even see the stones embedded in the ground. Weeds, grass and other "things" have grown over them. The only way to actually see any of them you had to dig around or have a weed eater go around them. Unfortunately we didn't bring any of that with us. We drove 3 hours to get there only to come away very disappointed. How can your community treat those people buried there in such a way that family and friends can't locate them. Someone needs to clean their act up."

"There is no caretaker, it was abandoned years ago and found a mass gave for the babies buried. So upkeep was voluntary but the city may do it now. A separate area for black deceased. I searched online to locate a grave. Public service logged in locations so you can locate someone. I found my grandmother this way. The people who go to work out , walk their dog and everything else have no respect for the fact “It is a cemetery people!”"

"The grounds are horrible, they destroy your love ones headstone ride their equipment right over the graves, pushing your love ones urns deep into the soil, no respect at all, have they not heard of weed whacking around the graves or is that to much, I thought the city was doing the perpetual care by using our inmate work program, or start a job program doing that kind of work, get a government grant times are hard out here people need work and this is a job, the dead can’t hurt you."

"I often come to this cemetery to enjoy the quiet and to walk my dog. It is a very old cemetery and bears the mark of cemeteries of much earlier days in that the markers are not kept up with Perpetual care. Many of the vertical markers have fallen over and many of them are very difficult to read. For me it gives to the aura of death and the dissolution of all things a perfect simile. Some of the trees here are very big and the atmosphere is very sedate."

"I live nearby and exercise here weekly while I'm in town. The cemetery is just big enough to make a good track with a couple of hills. It is completely deserted in the mornings I go, and except for the background traffic roar, a quiet, historic place for a little solace and reflection."
