Join us for a vivid live stream of the Ohio Challenge balloon festival, broadcasted in real time on a giant video board. Car enthusiasts can revel in our annual car show, featuring a stunning array of vehicles from classic to contemporary, on Saturday, July 20th.
Prepare to be dazzled by our breathtaking aerial display! As night falls, our synchronized drone fleet takes to the skies, their LED-lit wings crafting dazzling patterns like celestial fireflies. The excitement continues with spectacular fireworks shows lighting up Middletown's skies on both Friday and Saturday nights, following the balloon glow.
Experience the exhilaration of hot air balloon rides, offering a unique and affordable perspective of the world from above. For the first time, witness a live POV stream of professional skydivers as they barrel towards the festival, delivering a heart-pounding spectacle.
For thrill-seekers, our carnival rides cater to children and adults of all ages, promising endless fun and excitement. Be part of the exhilarating balloonist challenge, where pilots aim to snatch a giant key from a pole—a feat even more challenging than a hole-in-one.
Parking is convenient with our Park-N-Ride service at $20 per car, including a free shuttle bus to the park. Inside the park, shuttle services are available at three locations for pick-up and drop-off, operating until dusk. Please note that personal canopies or tents are not permitted inside the park.

"First time visiting the Middletown Regional Airport and Ohio Challenge, and it was amazing. Parking went smoothly on the grounds, lots of vendors and food trucks. It was so neat seeing all the balloons. Wonderful pyrotechnics sky diving show. Loved the fireworks and the drone show. I also did my first tethered air balloon ride and highly recommend it. The group that ran it was like a well-oiled machine."
"This was our first time experience with hot air balloons. We all liked it very much. Their drone show and fireworks were the best. It is a real challenge!! Shuttle service was helpful. The organisers could do more to reduce the wait time for parking. Show up early to beat the crowd. I would definitely recommend this."
"Nice collection of balloons , lot of food stalls unfortunately there is a big queue on each vendor. There was a chiller playing area not that big but still kids enjoyed well. The fireworks was an excellent show"
"Our family went to the Ohio Challenge tonight. Overall it was a good experience. The hot air balloons, fireworks and sky divers all put on a good show. The environment was family friendly. They also had helicopter rides going on throughout the afternoon and evening. The lines for the food trucks were extremely long. We didn’t wait in one but I heard people say that some were over an hour. I believe it because they were really backed up. It also took a very long time to get out of the parking lot."
