"God is NOT in Chilhowee Hills Baptist, Jesus is NOT in this church! If you are poor, you will not be welcomed. At this church, if you are different, they will side eye you, judge, even ask you to "find another church" if you ask a question they don't like. Love is NOT in this church, the spirit of God, Jesus, will never enter this church. If someone posts saying I'm wrong, it's the upper crust white members in this church."
"I have never posted a review of a church but my recent experience should be shared as an example of why those of us who choose a more contemporary form of worship, shun traditional churches not because of who they worship but how they treat those of us who do. I recently came for the midweek service, based on the sign I had no idea it was a bible study. Upon arriving instead of the normal friendly parking attendants we were by an angry, grumpy sort who advised us that coming late would be disruptive. Thankfully, Jesus doesn't share his belief. Since being saved 7 years ago my work travel has made it possible for me to attend the majority of churches on Outlook magazines 100 largest list. While there are differences the one trait all of these churches share is a mission to reach unbelievers. Ironically my experience here was a stark contrast to that. Inside the walls of this church I'm certain are many welcoming christians who would happy to see a first time guest, unfortunately the rude and non welcoming attitude of one prevented us from meeting them."
"I have never been to a church where I felt as at home as I do at CHBC. The worship is so genuine and the people are so full of joy that you can't help but feel loved. The Bible fellowship classes and the sermons are spot on. God is moving at CHBC!!"
