"The Back Pocket is one of the most beautiful and thoughtfully curated spaces I’ve ever been to. Walking down the stairs into the shop is a transportive experience (the vibes are immaculate). The owners are also the kindest and coolest people! The clothing is always high quality and feels like I get to raid the closet of the coolest girl in school. What’s more, the prices are beyond reasonable!! I get compliments on the items I pick up from here all the time and I can’t rave enough about this place. As much as I’d love to keep this hidden gem to myself, the whole world deserves to hear about it!"

"I’m so happy I discovered this great new vintage shop in town, it's definitely worth checking out! The place is packed with a great selection of classic fashion pieces (where I found my new favorite shirt!). Another unique thing about the shop are the co-owner's handmade creations. They're repurposing old quilts into jackets and bags, which is both creative, practical, and sustainable. The craftsmanship is solid, and each piece has its own unique style. The owners clearly know their stuff when it comes to vintage, and they're happy to chat about the items without being pushy. Prices are fantastic for the quality you're getting. Whether you're a vintage enthusiast or just looking for something different, this shop delivers. It's a great addition to our local arts district scene, offering one-of-a-kind pieces that blend regional, Tennessee Valley history with modern style. "A MUST VISIT for anyone local to or touring Knoxville! The Back Pocket provides a unique experience with its cozy studio setting and impressive selection of one of a kind pieces. Between Natalie’s incredible talent to sustainably source vintage, and Javier’s astounding tailoring skills, you will leave with marvelous new pieces to add to your wardrobe. The Back Pocket has something for everyone - inclusive sizing, a variety of styles, and a generous selection of men’s / women’s / nonbinary clothing, accessories, + footwear (my favorites are the cowgirl boots). The pricing of items is fair and on point - and even beats some of the local “thrift” store pricing in Knoxville. For the few times I’ve shopped here, I’ve been blown away every time at what pieces have just come in and how freakin cool they are!! Be sure to stop in - you won’t regret it."
