Originally from Ohio, Dr. Oros joined University Orthopaedic Surgeons in 2003, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and a passion for orthopaedic surgery inspired by his own athletic experiences and patient journey. He completed his medical education at The University of Toledo, followed by a distinguished residency at Palmetto Health Richland, where he was honored as Resident of the Year for two consecutive years. Further honing his expertise, Dr. Oros completed a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma at the renowned R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Oros specializes in the treatment and management of hip disorders, with a focus on hip preservation, reconstruction, and replacement. He is particularly skilled in hip arthroscopy, a minimally invasive procedure ideal for addressing conditions such as labral tears, snapping hip disorders, and femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) in younger patients. For more advanced hip issues, Dr. Oros offers the anterior approach to hip replacement, utilizing X-ray guidance for precise component placement and faster recovery.
Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Oros enjoys a fulfilling family life with his wife, Lisa Herron, M.D., a pediatrician, and their three children. Together, they cherish outdoor adventures with their chocolate Lab, Eddy.
