Reviews
"There's a reason she has so many one star reviews. Taylor, one of her nurses, is incredibly helpful and understanding. She's really one of the best nurses I've ever met, and I work in healthcare. Truly the one shining star of this office. Dr. Bhandari, however, takes absolutely forever to do anything. I've been waiting for about 2 weeks to see my physical therapist after she told me she would sign off on the paperwork. She knows I'm in pain, she knows how long I've been waiting, and I am beginning to believe she doesn't care. I have called multiple times, and every time I am told, "We'll sign it and send it off by the end of the day." And every time, I call my therapist the next day to ask if they've received it. Nothing. It seems like she's only wanting my insurance money, and if someone else is getting it, she has no interest in even bothering to help. It's no wonder she can usually squeeze me in on a moment's notice; because if she actually cared about her patients, she would have more people trying to get in to see her. Update to this (that I totally forgot to do at the time): instead of apologizing and trying to do better, she dropped me as a patient days after this review was posted. No attempt at reconciliation, just a letter saying she refused to see me. Even cancelled an appointment for it."
"Doctor was more concerned about me getting the flu shot than she was in answering/addressing my primary concerns. Also she persist on me having a chest X-ray which is unnecessary not covered by insurance. I’ve never had a doctor want a chest X-ray as part of a routine physical or “base line” when I have not complained of chest issues."
"The worst experience we had. our family was there and my son was 4 years old. all my other doctor visit experience are very friendly and nice especially for a lovely little boy. but she was very rude and told my son several times, Be Quite! don't speak while I am working! if you talk more I will ask you out....actually my son was just asking questions in very low/gentle volume. this is really hurt....also their charge is crazy...I don't know why she even got license.."
"WARNING!!!!!!!please stay away from her, if you want live longer...If I can give negative 5 stars, I will not hesitate giving her this. the most terrible experience I ever had, we used her as our civil surgeons to prepare our green card medical exam. My wife was pregnant when we do our check, we showed her our immunization records and explained to her our situation. she was asking my wife to take MMR since her blood test shows a little bit lower than standard and also asking do other tests. fortunately we checked with our County Healthy department, during the pregnancy you should never take MMR and her blood test result actually okay for filing the green card medical report. the nurse in healthy department even helped us to call this Punam doctor to explain and push them to correct this mistake. I can't believe what would happen to my wife and my baby if we followed Punam's stupid requirement....please stay away from her, if you want live longer..."
"I have never been treated so bad ,by a licensed medical professional in my life. I have been seeing Dr. Bhandari since 2014 and have always had above EXCELLENT treatment until March 11th, 2019. I was scheduled for a follow up exam as my "gout" condition requires me to have (2) medications. (1) medication I must take everyday, for the rest of my life, to ensure my gout never returns, or is at least kept in check. My (2nd) medication is only to be taken if I have a gout flare up, but can only be taken along with my 1st medication, but is never to be taken alone as the side effects are harmful and fatal. This was never explained to me. In January of 2019, I ran out of my initial medication, called Dr. Bhandari's office to have it refilled. She immediately called in the prescription, called back and canceled the medication several days later, never contacted me, however, it was the medication that I am never to take alone. I absolutely had no idea. Soon afterwards, I began to experience unimaginable joint and muscle pain. The pain became so bad that I could hardly bend, move, rest, or even sit up comfortably. I knew I had my March 2019 appointment coming and decided that I could make it through. Now the fun begins at my doctor's appointment. Upon arrival, the nurse weighed me, to my blood pressure and withdrew my blood as a standard procedure when taking my particular medications. The nurse looked at my patient check in sheet with my physical condition and quickly found the Dr. Bhandari, herself, had called in the wrong medication and stated that I was in great need of my 1st medication in order to counteract the 2nd. As Dr. came in and I told her of my physical condition, I also told her that I believe it's because I had been prescribed the wrong medication. She began a barrage of attacks, criticisms and insults on how it was my fault, I should know better, what is my problem with listening and how tired she was of explaining the same thing to me. I explained she has never explained my medications to me and all I did was take what she prescribed. The insults continued. I finally asked her could she please call in my medication and I no longer wanted to continue the rest of the examination which was 99% over anyway. The insults still continued to the point that I asked her for another staff member to be present and she not only refused, she also stated I was not allowed to leave. Of course, that didn't go well with me at all. After the back and forth, she finally left the examination room, I got dressed and proceeded to leave, but not before doing an in office survey, talking to the office manager and contacting Summit customer relations. I will also be contacting the Medical Board of Professional Health and Ethics since I have since learned that not only was she refusing to do my lab work for blood drawn, she also refused to call in my prescription that I desperately needed. In essence, holding my well being hostage. As a retired, military veteran, I have had the privilege of seeing physicians all across the globe and by far, she is the worst experience I've ever had. My only regret is that she has an immaculate staff who cares and unfortunately, her staff has to also endure her lack of caring. I wouldn't recommend this physician's of to my worst enemy. I beg of anyone considering going to her to go somewhere else and if I could rate her performance less than a zero, I would. Sincerely yours, Herschel....a former client as of March 11th, 2019"
