Dr. Zhang graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Psychology from Amherst College. She went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she was honored as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Her surgical expertise was further honed during her residency in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she received several prestigious awards, including the Mount Sinai Outstanding Clinical Housestaff Award.
Dr. Zhang completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Washington University in Saint Louis. Her clinical interests include foregut disorders, complex hernia repair, and the utilization of advanced robotic surgical techniques, such as the da Vinci surgical system, for optimal patient outcomes.
