"It’s very bad experience from hospital . Nusre or clean worker stolen my mother-in-law bag nobody help me. And also they don’t give me anything replacement. She lost her all important card and also her green card ."
"Was in ER the other day after having kidney surg earlier that day and had a horrible experience. I was in writhing pain 10+/10. I was left for 2 hours. I kept pressing call light and aide would come in and say he will tell the nurse and she will be right in. I did this about 4-5 times until finally 2 HOURS later a nurse came in. She was very unpleasant. I told her my pain is through the roof and she said I just gave u a little more pain meds. . Then asked if I had my CT scan. I said no one told me I was getting one but no I didn’t. I did go to CT shortly after. CT staff was very kind. About an hour later asked the aide about my results and he said well epic is doing an update so from 2-4am we can’t see results so u will have to wait another 1.5 hrs til epic is up. I was told multiple times that they were busy in the ER. All I wanted was my pain under control then I don’t mind waiting but to leave me screaming, moaning and writhing in pain for hours is not ok. Will never go back there. It was the poorest in patient care I’ve ever experienced. And I work in healthcare I get it but excruciating pain is not something that shld be left for hours."
"I have been in the ER twice and I found the care to be outstanding and compassionate. Dr Cosgrove was my doctor and was kind and knowledgable. Ive had a Heart Transplant and he was familiar with my condition and was able to treat my sciatica pain successfully as well. I know everyone focuses on wait time and they would be correct. But I focus on quality and would go to no other ER."
"Two days ago my 85 year old mother slipped and fell on a concrete driveway. She was in horrible pain and could barely move . I took her to the Mercy Hospital ER to get her looked at and to make sure she didn’t have any broken bones. We waited there for 5 hours without being seen ! I went to the desk at least 4 times wondering what the issue was while my mom was in horrible pain and kept being told there was nothing we can do ! There was zero compassion from anyone there I couldn’t believe that I put complete trust into this hospital to care for my injured mother and they kept brushing us a side . I kept being lied to when they told me oh don’t worry you are next ! Ok so here is the worst part after the 5 hour wait I told the desk nurse you guys have to do something here . They got on a phone spoke to someone explaining our situation and I was told a charge nurse was going to come out and at least give my mom something for pain . Well guess what ? They never came out ! The sad sad part of this is we left to seek other medical help in the middle of a snowstorm without my mother even being seen !!!! What kind of Emergency Room is this ?! ZERO ZERO ZERO empathy and compassion! Myself and my family were left to fend for ourselves therefore putting my mother of 85 years and 90 pounds in an even more emergency situation. Isn’t that what a hospital emergency room is supposed to take care of ? UNBELIEVABLE. No one I came across in there should call themselves a Medical Professional. Not for a second . Thank you for creating an emergency on top of one I was already dealing with."
"If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely shocked at the experience I had at this EMERGENCY room. I came on a Thursday around 11:45pm for chest pain. I had to look for where to check in, only to see an empty desk and a women showing other people behind the front desk/co-workers pictures on her phone of when she was younger, and them laughing and joking. After a good 1 minute of me standing there, she finally took my name. She didn't get it right, couldn't find me- then handed me the keyboard and had me type in my social security number?? It was super unprofessional. During all this- she's still joking about the pictures she was showing her co-workers. Finally I got my wristband, and a sheet full of stickers with my information she just kind of threw at me? They took me right away for an EKG then told me to wait in the waiting room. I arrived around 11:45pm, and there was about 15 people in the waiting room- each person had someone with them it looked like, so I would say maybe 6-7 patients waiting to be seen. I sat there until 1:15am and not 1 person was called back. Not 1 doctor/nurse called anyone back in an hour and 15 minutes at least (not sure what it was like before my arrival) ! In an emergency room I find that insane. I saw 2 people just get up and "Check out"- I saw the front desk cut their wristbands off- so I decided to leave as well- who knows how long I would have sat there until I got called back, let alone see a doctor and get some kind of answers. If you're in pain and need emergency services- please do NOT even bother going here. My chest pain was manageable (still seeing doctors to figure out what it is/was) - but I cannot imagine being in actual pain and having to sit there that long."
