VA WNY Healthcare System - Veteran’s Hospital 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215

"Nurses are top notch, so are the Doctors. The only thing is WHY does the cafeteria close at 2 PM and completely close on the weekends? There is no place close to go for coffee or food close be. Especially if you don’t drive. Is there a valid reason for this? Is there any way that this can be corrected?"

"This is the second time I've been at Buffalo VA Hospital and I've had nothing but the best care. The nurses are so friendly and helpful and the doctors sit and explain everything you need to know even if you don't want to hear it and the rooms are clean"

"This place ruined my life. I’ve had 2 surgeries here and both were poorly done. 1st surgery was dental. They pulled 2 teeth and gave me a bone graft for implants but didn’t give me an antibiotic. I suffered a bad infection for over a month and had to be put on two antibiotics because it was so out of control. When I called them about the problem they didn’t take it seriously and made me wait 3 days to see someone. 2nd surgery I had my left ovary removed because of cyst. The surgery left me in more pain than before. I have very bad adhesions and scarring. It’s been 10 months since that surgery and I have been suffering in pain and constantly fight with the VA for treatment. I am 40 years old and I use to be very active before this surgery. Now I can’t walk, sit, carry groceries or exercise anymore. This VA ruined my life. Don’t go here."

"Recent I took my husband to VA hospital in Buffalo NY. He had a minor heart procedure done. From the time I walk in employees were welcoming and smiling. As I walked passed nurses, doctors, environment specialist and office employees all were gracious with a hello or willing to help if we needed direction. I was keep informed on my husbands progress and the doctor promptly came out and talked with me regarding his outcome. As we were leaving our nurse work with my husband getting him ready for discharge. She did everything, help dress him with so much dignity and a great friendly disposition.
