"I started seeing Dr. Myers several years ago when I was diagnosed with a rare dermological condition. After seeing 9 other doctors, he was the one who cured it. I see him now for a yearly check up. I have occasionally had a 30 min. or more wait, but he takes his time listening to each patient; many are older and slower. Dr. Myers is worth the wait."

"Just read the reviews after two visits. Who cares if the office is outdated? Not every doctor wants to use the latest technology or decor. My first appointment was just a couple of weeks from when I called. If they're rescheduling appointments for a month out because he's spending more time with patients, that's fine by me. I had to wait maybe half an hour from my appointment time and yeah it's annoying but doctors should be spending adequate time with patients instead of making appointments in 15 minute increments and making patients wait for hours. The staff is great, Dr. Myers is great. The only complaint is their not taking cards. Not all of us carry cash."

"As a 32 year employee of Dr. David Myers, I am writing in response to the reviews that I find blatantly false and offensive. For over three decades I have worked side by side with Dr. Myers, as a nurse, assisting him with the medical and surgical care of his patients. This doctor is a intelligent diagnostician, a skilled surgeon and above all a compassionate man. For over three decades, I have witnessed him make critical decisions that have made the difference in the lives of patients in a profoundly positive way. I have also seen his generosity to patients that are are poor and could never afford care by waving fees multiple times. Dr. Myers was also the only dermatologist in the area that worked for a clinic that took mostly indigent patients with no insurance or medicaid. His pay was next to nothing. He basically donated his time once per week to care for people. As far as scheduling appointments, this is what really is the case. For thirty years most new patients were scheduled about 3-4 weeks out, with some being told to come in the actual day they called if there is was a cancellation. Most established patients were seen within a week or two after calling. Admittedly, things are now different due to a few facts. First and foremost, insurance companies now dictate how much time needs to be spent with a patient, They control many factors in the office, and as participants you must oblige, That leads to longer waiting times and lessening how many patients you can physically attend to in one day, backing up the schedule for future visits. Also, Dr. Myers in the last few years has had a few medical situations that has forced the staff to cancel and reschedule various times. However, we have always provided coverage for established patients with emergency situations. Please note----no patient has ever been scheduled 6 months out unless they requested it. That is a fact! On a less important note, yes the office decor may need updating, but the office is always meticulously clean. The last time I checked, it is probably more important to have a very competent physician with average decor vs high level custom decorating and less than average care. As far as Dr. Myers munching his lunch while seeing a patient, well, that is pure nonsense, At most, he probably had a lozenge as he frequently does, to sooth his throat from all the taking with patients. Also, please make note that there are five employees in the office that have been there in years ranging from twenty to thirty two years, which speaks for itself, We have had great professional careers and have consistently provided high quality, compassionate care. We have never lacked for patients, always having a more than full schedule. In conclusion it is important to note that I have never responded to reviews before, but, I felt it necessary to inform people of the other side of the story. Dr. Myers has had a very distinguished career and I feel very fortunate to have been a part of it. We will continue to provide the high level of care for the foreseeable future!"

"I hope my experience differs from most, but none the less, I wanted to share it. I made an appointment with Dr. Myers as a new patient and was given an appointment almost 6 months out. That's fine, I understand that it takes a while to get in. However, a few days before my scheduled appointment, Dr. Meyers receptionist called to tell me that the Dr. was out sick for a few days and would be unable to keep my scheduled appointment. Which I also understand. But then she told me that my only option was to take a different appointment... 4 months out! That's pretty unacceptable to me after waiting 6 months to see the guy in the first place. I find it hard to believe she couldn't squeeze me in anywhere before that. Needless to say, I found a different doctor."

"I have been going to Dr Myers for several years now, he is the best and so are the nurses, but he has cancelled at least 3 or 4 appointments over the years. Rescheduling is not that easy, you may have to wait a couple of months to get another one. I know I'm not the only one who has had this problem with his office."
