"Its hard for me to call this the Mario Cuomo Bridge. Granted, I know its more than a name change and its an entirely new bridge but the Tappan Zee just sits on my mind. Either way, this bridge is a great bridge to traverse by car but its even more beautiful and awe inspiring crossing the bridge by foot or bike. Its one of the most beautiful bridges in NYC and I think its underrated in its beauty. Crossing the bridge really shows and makes you appreciate the beauty and how grand the Hudson River is. It reminds you how beautiful NY state is and all the quaint little towns that encompass and make NY the beautiful state that it is. Terrytown and Nyack being the prime examples of it. I enjoy getting a nice run, walk or bike ride on the bridge and on a nice day, take a seat and embrace the beauty of the bridge and surrounding landscape. If you're a life long New Yorker and never crossed the Tappan Zee *Ahem*--I mean Mario Cuomo Bridge, you're doing yourself a disservice. And if you are visiting New York/NYC, then its absolutely worth the trip to pay a walk over this bridge and visit Nyack and Terrytown while you're at it."
"Recently, I had the opportunity to drive across the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, and it was an experience that left a lasting impression. This bridge, which replaced the old Tappan Zee Bridge, offers a seamless and scenic passage across the Hudson River, connecting Rockland and Westchester counties. As I approached the bridge, I was immediately struck by its modern design and impressive structure. The bridge's sleek lines and towering cables create an aesthetically pleasing view that stands out against the river and surrounding landscape. The drive itself was smooth and enjoyable. The bridge features wide lanes and clear signage, making navigation straightforward even for those unfamiliar with the area. As I drove across, I couldn’t help but appreciate the panoramic views of the Hudson River and the surrounding hills. The design allows for a gentle, unobstructed view, making the journey across the bridge a visual One of the most notable aspects of the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge is its emphasis on safety. The bridge is equipped with advanced monitoring systems and has been designed to withstand severe weather conditions, ensuring a safe passage for all travelers. Additionally, the lanes are well-marked, and there is a dedicated path for cyclists and pedestrians, which is a great addition for those who prefer a slower pace. Driving across the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge was a delightful experience. The combination of modern engineering, safety features, and breathtaking views makes it more than just a means of getting from point A to point B. It’s a journey in itself, one that I would recommend to anyone traveling in the area. Whether you’re commuting, taking a road trip, or just exploring, crossing this bridge is an experience worth having."
"Beautiful bridge, nothing bad to say."
"I like the design of the bridge. It is a very unique design with the V shaped pillars. It’s a pretty beautiful bridge and one of the most overlooked bridges across in New York comparing to more famous ones such as the Brooklyn Bridge."
"Still call this bridge the Tappan Zee. Since it has been redone, the traffic seems to move better. It much larger than the original. It is visually appealing at night when it is lit up. The walking path is a nice addition."
