Buffalo State Student Parking Lots

Welcome to Buffalo State Student Parking Lots, your premier parking solution located at 1300 Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, New York 14222. Our facility is designed to provide convenient and accessible parking options for Buffalo State students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Parking Permits and Eligibility:

Buffalo State requires all vehicles parked on campus, except in metered areas, to display a valid university parking permit. Students who meet eligibility criteria must purchase an annual parking permit, available at a reduced price as the year progresses. Please note that first-year and second-year residential students are generally not permitted to park on campus, with exceptions granted for medical, employment, academic, or Destination Buffalo needs.

Shuttle Services:

To enhance your campus experience, we offer on-campus and overnight shuttle buses, as well as an off-campus neighborhood shuttle. These services ensure safe and reliable transportation around and beyond the campus.

Faculty and Staff Parking:

Faculty and staff can conveniently purchase their parking permits online, with the option for mail delivery. Certain lots are reserved for faculty and staff, and permits must be properly displayed at all times. Emeriti are eligible for a complimentary permit.

Visitor Parking:

Visitors can obtain a one-day temporary permit or use the pay stations available in specific lots. Departments inviting guests are encouraged to arrange temporary permits in advance.

Accessible Parking:

We honor all valid municipally issued parking permits for persons with disabilities, provided they are displayed alongside a valid Buffalo State permit. Temporary permits are available for students with temporary disabilities.

Sustainable Initiatives:

Buffalo State is proud to pilot a program offering a 20% discount on parking permits for vehicles rated as SmartWay Elite by the EPA. This initiative supports our commitment to reducing environmental impact.

Payment and Fines:

Payments for parking permits and fines can be made in-person or by mail. We accept cash, check, and credit card payments. Please ensure fines are paid within 30 days to avoid late fees.
