"Our move out of state with Budget Nanuet went mostly smoothly. We rented a 16” truck with a tow trailer, but unfortunately, the trailer was defective, so we had to leave it behind. However, Manager Maribel handled the situation exceptionally well. She was responsive and quickly resolved our issue. Overall, we appreciated her great customer service during a stressful time."

"Absolute worst. They transferred my reservation to another location the day before because they didn’t have any trucks despite making a reservation a month ago. Problem is neither did anyone else that late. Corporate was apologetic and so was the new location. No word from Nanuet and no apology. Do not use them. U-haul New City found me a replacement truck and were very helpful."

"HORRIBLE experience. "Manager" barely has a brain. Had a reservation for a van, but she couldn't charge my card because they don't have a cc chip reader, and she wouldn't enter the card manually. Left without a van , they charged my credit card $150 for a no-show. Location and manager are equally pathetic. Hope they wake up and fire her and whoever hired her."

"I returned a one-way rental. The location looked like a make-shift shop & the man there was not very helpful & seemed very busy between monitors. He had no problem telling me I had a balance due of $240 but couldn't tell me why. Asked for my card, I told him I didn't have it then said the system was going to charge me anyway. Budget customer service took care of me tho."

"An online reservation was made by our corporate office for a 27" truck and a credit card was used to make the online reservation. When we arrived to pick up the truck we were told that a physical credit card was needed for the deposit. I gave my personal credit card and said we would bring a corporate card back when we returned the truck. When we came back we were greeted by the type of person who should not interact with anyone not to mention customers. Nice big attitude and slamming around the counter, couldn't have possibly cared less about anything except locking the door. She said that her systems were down so she would have to use the original card because she couldn't print for a signature. Then when we pushed a little more she asked whose card it was, we replied that it's a corporate card and the person's name on it is the owner of the corporation. She said we can't do that. I clarified, is it that the "system is down" or that you need a signature because the reasons keep changing. More slamming around and calls someone and says, "here"..I get on the phone with Maribel the owner who tells me that when I was in the store the day before I told her I would be back with a corporate card in my own name. Really? How would I do that? Get a corporate card in my own name in a day? So now I am arguing with the owner of the business about a conversation that never happened? So here is some advice. The "I can't be bothered with you" eye rolling attitude goes both ways only in this case you lose customers and without customers you have no business. It's pretty basic math. The issue was not using my card, it was having someone LIE about what I said when I AM THE CUSTOMER and the idea that I would have a corporate card printed in my name in 24 hours is insane. Here's a little more. I manage a customer service department for a global company and I can tell you that the girl behind the counter today would be escorted out in 5 seconds flat if I ever witnessed one of my employees treating a customer like that. And the owner? Yes, well...if your business is arguing with customers and losing them for good, then you are doing a fantastic job. There are other places to rent trucks twice a year to go to the Javits Center, you should always keep that in mind, competition coupled with HORRIBLE service will pretty much ruin any business. Oh and also, I would like my receipt...because that's the professional thing to offer someone when they spend money in your establishment, professionalism....there's a concept."
