Odessa at the District

"Lived here for about two years. The elevators often had issues and were inaccessible. The Spa was almost never fixed the entire time I lived there. I felt a majority of the fees they tack on (that they don't tell you about) were unfair. Unsure what my rent was going towards if we were expected to pay the electricity, water bill, pest control, etc for the entire building. (They split this cost amongst all the tenants and added them as fees to your rent). I loved the initial leasing crew when I moved in, but they had hired new people that didn't seem to care. One particular leasing agent was always so unfriendly and would say anything to get me out of the office. She also avoided my calls and wouldn't get back to me. The leasing manager is really nice and the apartments are beautiful. The maintenance crew has always been amazing and incredibly helpful. I wish they had kept the moving carts from when I initially moved in. Unsure why they took them away, but honestly I've lived in better luxury apartments."

"Jaren has been a rockstar during my move!! I moved back to Utah from Colorado to accept a new position out here and he was great about getting everything done quickly and he even went above and beyond when we first got keys and it wasn’t up to our standards but he immediately changed that for us! Glad to be back in Utah I would definitely recommend Odessa to anyone that is looking for an amazing place to live and friendly staff."

"I wanted to love this place so much. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the problem I'm about to describe. The walls are hollow; paper thin. The noise, echo, vibration, and whatever else, all travel in a way that I can hear everything my neighbors are doing. I particularly have problems with the person living above me. I talked to the leasing manager about it, and I sent emails to keep a paper trail, so she said someone would talk to the person. I've also had to report the noise to the overnight security at least twice because the person does not have a regular sleep schedule, and the noise goes on even during "quiet hours" from 10pm-8am. I've had roommates before, and I've had my fair share of upstairs neighbors, but a white noise machine has always helped drown out their shenanigans. For some reason, in this space, I hear everything coming from upstairs and outside, no matter how high I crank up the volume on that machine. I believe Odessa is very poorly constructed, with zero soundproofing of the walls and ceilings. I strongly advise not to rent here, or from any Greystar property. A quick online search will show you they don't have their renters' best interest at heart. The leasing officer said to me that noise from neighbors is to be expected when living in an apartment complex, as if I didn't know better, but this is not my first time renting an apartment and I can confidently say that it's not normal how much noise comes through the walls/ceiling. She also ignored the last email I sent her, which I waited two weeks before I followed up on our last conversation. I've been made to feel like this is an issue only I have, but other reviewers have complained about the same thing, and people who've come to visit me have commented on how bad the noise is. I don't appreciate being gaslighted by a leasing manager, especially when I'm paying "luxury apartment" prices."

"I loved the move-in experience. It was easy, swift, and stress free. They have an accessible elevator and a large cart that made moving my property flawless. The location of the apartment is just perfect. I can walk to the movies, Target, everything basically."
