CORT Furniture Rental - Service Area

"My family and I had a house fire so I found us a house to stay in and our insurance used CORT for the furniture. Upon arriving to the house, I immediately took pictures throughout the house of any past damages to protect me from any issues from the previous tenants. There was a 10-15 foot gash in the hardwood flooring in the entryway. When I talked with the homeowner, he said that it was from the past tenants furniture movers. I found out later that CORT was the company that provided their furniture. When the guys delivered the furniture later that morning, I talked with the delivery guys and one of them admitted to being the one that made the gash while moving out furniture. ISSUES while in the home. 1. I work from home so I requested some "office desks" so that I could work, however they delivered 2 tiny credenzas that barely fit my monitors and laptop. They were so shallow that I could barely get my keyboard and mouse to comfortably fit. 2. We were worried about scratching the floor so we verified that the chairs they gave us had the felt on the bottom, however the felt was STAPLED onto the bottom of the chairs... so we ended up purchasing foot coverings for the chairs to minimize any further damage to the flooring. 3. A lot of the drawers on their furniture would not properly open or close since the day we got them. 4. The kitchen chairs were held together with screws which were constantly coming out so we had to repair them multiple times. 5. They gave us glass and ceramic dishes which just seems like a recipe for disaster. I would have gladly taken plastic since I have kids. 6. The mop they gave us was garbage and nearly broke on the first use. We ended up washing the entire floor on our knees with a rag for the duration of our stay. MOVING OUT We let them remove all the furniture and when I went to verify that everything was removed, there was yet another large gash in the hardwood flooring under the kitchen table. I took pictures and you can clearly see the dust from the scratch in the photo. Our insurance housing just messaged me and said they denied putting a scratch on the flooring... Not to mention they denied the first scratch which they admitted to causing the first time. I would not recommend this company as they seem shady and not trustworthy. The quality of some of their furniture was nice, but others were bulky, heavy, and not kid friendly. I've attached a photo of the most recent scratch they made. I'll add the other one once I find the photo."
