"I found the perfect bridesmaids dress and the worker refused to sell it to me because there was no tag. I offered to pay whatever the manager thought was appropriate and they still refused and said that they would have to process the item again. I was trying to be reasonable and asked if they would at least hold it for me and I could come back tomorrow once it had been processed, rudely the worker said “that wouldn’t work.” I’ve been to four different thrift stores today trying to find a bridesmaid’s dress for my friend’s upcoming wedding, with very specific colors and dress attire. I would spend more money elsewhere but sadly I am a broke college student. I am just very unpleased with the whole interaction and the unwillingness to help a customer."
"Overly expensive FOR PROFIT (google it) resell store. Not a real thrift store. Greedy and comes off as a nonprofit. Don’t donate here. If I’d bought the two items below I’d have to spend $60 after tax. For one pair of pants and a dirty old jacket? $60?? What a joke"
"I'm quite disappointed with Savers as of late. They seem to be consistently increasing their prices, at times even exceeding the original price of the item. Every time I've raised this concern at this particular location, they haven't been willing to adjust the pricing. Considering that these items are donated, it's disheartening to see Savers overpricing them. I've observed that other Savers locations have been more attentive in recognizing and rectifying excessively high prices."
"Savers has drastically decreased in quality/pricing. There are still a few deals but several items are being listed as MORE expensive than buying them new. Lodge skillet sells for $24 new but $30 at savers. These exact garden pots are $3-5 at home Depot $6+ at savers. Plastic ornaments that would be $2 at Walmart, $5 at savers. I understand raising prices a bit but pricing objects that are heavily used for higher than they sell for new is ridiculous."
