OSU Internal Medicine - Houston Center

"This is a company where you can go in to your doctor's office during regular business hours and there will be no doctors available anywhere in the massive OSU medical complex, who could order you simple blood work. I went to my office over an hour before it closed and not only were there no doctors in the office, but no doctors could be reached via any OSU medicine phone number, my either myself or the very helpful staff, to take action on my case. I've only had great personal experiences with the staff and physicians here, but the barrier to entry for basic care is high for no reason. It makes me question whether or not the owners even care about the quality of their service, much less about the patients themselves. This also isn't the first negative thing that's happened, I'm just quite willing to overlook many things. I was willing to overlook that my tests were misread and I had to correct the doctors myself. It's when I can't even receive care that I start to complain. (Follow up 12/20/22) just got a call that my appointment tomorrow, Wednesday, is canceled because it's going to be really cold on Thursday. Next availability? Next year. Love to see it. If you want an extended holiday just say so. Have I been able to get in for what prompted this whole thing? No, I have not."

Everybody's so caring and eager to learn, so they're ready to find out what they can do to diagnose, treat, and cure. Every person I've dealt with has had amazing bedside manner. I never knew how much I would absolutely love a teaching hospital!"

"ridiculous. waiting 10 days for a doctors visit to prescribe essential life-saving medication when blood work (already completed) has cleared the patient for its' use. that’s the medical “care” you can expect at this facility. my body may build a resistance to a medication that’s keeping me alive, that i’ve been taking for almost 6 years earnestly, and they don’t care to help. SHAME"

"Doctors took too long, they told me what I already knew, gave me a script for baby tylenol, not the medication they said they were gonna give me. Then dismissed me and refused my calls until my insurance ran out and then they charged me 450 dollars. I'm on disability, and that's half my monthly pay. Doctors are a crock. It's just a money scam."

"The physicians at OSU IM are wonderful. They take the time to listen and offer a variety of treatment options rather than just pushing pills on patients. We have never had issues where we were unable to be seen in a timely manner and have been well cared for at each visit. The students there are truly learning from the best!"
