"My wife and I loved our apartment on Parklane, and if it weren't for the flood, likely wouldn't have moved at all for some time. It had it's problems, but almost all of them were related to how old the construction was: Aluminum frame, single-pane windows; single wall-unit A/C systems; cheap, aging drawers and cabinetry; that sort of thing. Those will all likely be updated completely during their post-flood renovations. Sadly, the train tracks are still nearby and can disturb light sleepers, but the windows are again partially to blame for that. What really made the place stand out were the benefits. The south-central Longmont location that was still right on the St. Vrain Greenway was excellent (though bittersweet for flood victims). The construction was old, but it's all ground-floor and each unit had a spacious attic and it's own front porch/patio area. And most importantly, the staff is responsive and incredibly friendly. Ron, the maintenance manager, was one of the fastest and friendliest handymen you could hope for, and Nancy, the office manager, was always friendly and responsive to my questions. The property was owned and managed by the Kanemoto family during my tenure as a resident, and I had the pleasure to meet several of the Kanemotos during my stay. Overall, I hope the place comes back from the flood much like it was before it, and that we have the chance to move back. (Please note that this address is actually the offsite management office for the property I actually lived at, and likely for other properties owned by the Kane Company. My particular apartment complex was located on Parklane and Fairlane Avenues in Longmont.)"
