"Richard is honestly a great landlord! I suspect the 1 star reviews are from people who don’t understand that problematic housing is the norm on the Hill, and for many college neighborhoods in general. In other words, this is kind of what you sign up for here. Yeah, the house has issues (plumbing, mold, general wear and tear, etc.), but Richard and the maintenance guy are extremely responsive—every time my roommates and I have a maintenance request, someone comes within the day (the only time this didn’t happen, I found out it was my fault for not being home the few times the maintenance person came). TLDR, it’s college living, this ain’t no 5 star hotel and you should manage your expectations. The Hill is expensive and the houses are mostly old and gross. But at least you can get yourself a responsive landlord. We love Richard!"
"Your tenant in the unit on Iris is a jerk. He terrorizes the whole neighborhood with his illegal muffler. While this wouldn’t seem like a management issue they renewed his lease after complaints. Thanks for bringing down the whole neighborhood with obnoxious immature tenants."
"We rented from Harburg Properties for a year and a half, and had a great experience with Richard and any-few requests we ever had. I had asked for a sensor light for safety and no questions asked he was on it, which was very appreciative. We only left to buy, but felt like we were getting a great deal in a great location compared to other rentals and other reviews of management companies. Richard was always responsive and personable. We took care of our apartment and we had trust that he would too if needed."
