"Be sure to complete the equipment condition verification. I was charged for damage which did not occur during my rental period. Unfortunately, the link to verify condition went to my spam inbox and I didn't see it until after the vehicle had been returned and damage had been reported -- so no way to prove my dispute was valid. Lesson learned, but I'll also be avoiding this location in the future."

"The service was quick. Attendant was very polite and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning. This is after having been to this location several times before when it was under different management and had a poor experience in the past."

"Rented a vehicle for an afternoon to move some furniture. Great experience - Thanks Willie and team! The vehicle I selected came back with repairs needed. The team called ahead to inform me and then went above and beyond to ensure I got a different one for the same price. When I arrived, the repair team had actually worked quickly and I ended up with the van I had requested. The weather forecasted heavy snow, so without my asking they extended my drop off time to accommodate a slower day on the road. Upon return, I called ahead to ask how much gas was needed to get it back to half and Willie took time to calculate it for me. Pick up and drop off took total of about three minutes all together."

"Looking at past reviews of this location, the manager, Willie, seems to have a reputation. Unfortunately, it's not a good one. I wish I could counter these with a positive experience, but it seems Willie is either unable or unwilling to have a growth mindset. It's not an unreasonable expectation that when a company makes a mistake (like ordering and installing the wrong wiring harness), that they own that mistake and try to do right by the customer (like apologising and trying to make it right). Willie, on the other hand, takes a different approach: he blames the customer. He does not seek to understand. He does not display empathy. In fact, he doubles down on his unprofessional behaviour by sending a follow up email to his poor in-person behaviour reminding the customer how he was right, the customer was wrong, and to take his/her business elsewhere. He seems bent on trying to get U-Haul of Boulder down to a one-star rating (from it's current 2.9 at the time of this writing). As I expect him to not change his behaviour, I believe he will achieve this goal."

"Terrible location. Very seamless in and out when it comes to actually getting and returning the truck. But they try to steal gas money. Was told 3/4 tank was enough to not be charged for gas, so I filled it to there. Was charged for gas anyways. I call uhaul customer service, and apparently the corporate office says their store’s minimum gas level is 13/16. It was super easy to get in and out, and it’s because they want to steal from you. It was an $8.50 gas charge on a $75 dollar bill, so they want to actually make some real money off of you. Scammers."
