"I’ve been working with Tate Zigerman for over a year and absolutely love working with her. She is very professional, has a highly developed fashion sense and is very attuned to the needs of her clients. I must say I was skeptical about working with a personal clothier when we first connected about a specific and limited need I had at the time. But the truth is, she gets me. Through working together, she knows what I might like, how I like to be communicated with, and how I make decisions. As a result, I’ve given her far more sway than I would have thought I might in suggesting styles and selecting articles of clothing. Every time I wear one of her pieces — at this point that’s suits, shirts, dress and casual slacks, sports coats, ties — more than one person tells me how great I look. That’s not something I need or look for, but it’s nice to hear and is certainly a validation of working with a clothing professional such as Tate. I will say, Tate is a strong and confident person who very much knows what she’s doing and why. Personally I find that very refreshing and helpful. We can be direct and honest with each other which is something I value in any professional relationship. When we get together, she first and foremost wants to know what I want and need. She also always has ideas of her own to pitch with me in mind seeking to expand my own horizons and sometimes to challenge what I think about fashion and style. I say “yes” a lot because she’s brilliant and she knows what she’s doing, but she’s also always happy to take “no” for an answer if for any reason I either don’t like or don’t want what she suggests. I definitely feel like her number one priority is to help me look and feel great. If you are considering looking for custom made clothes and working with a personal clothier, I very much recommend Tate as an amazing person to work with!"

"I’ve been working with Tate Zigerman for almost a year now. Tate has given me excellent service and advice. She is extremely honest and direct which I love. I trust her opinion and am so happy she gives it to me straight every time and comes to me with ideas that fit what I’m looking for. "Reflecting on my experience about a week ago in Denver, CO with Tate Zigerman- I had filled out a booking form and messaged her on Instagram as I am attending a medical conference in October and wanted something really nice to wear. I didn’t know if a custom suit would even be possible in this time frame, but when I reached out to Tate, she called the warehouse that makes the suits and assured me they could get it done in time. She even fit me in for a fitting up in denver the next day! It was a two hour drive for me, but I was ecstatic and happy to make the drive. This was going to be my first custom suit for my first big medical conference. When I got to the Tom James building, Tate brought me back to customize my suit. That’s when things started going downhill. She started with, “You don’t want my whole speech do you?” I said I did because this was my first custom suit and I was so, so excited for the full experience. She rolled her eyes and said, “We’re just gonna start.” I was rushed through the entire process, and Tate would say things like, “Do you like these buttons on my jacket?” When I said yes, she said, “Great. We’ll pick these buttons” without letting me look at any other options. When she wanted me to pick a lining for the inside of the coat, she said, “Just pick one girl.” When I asked if I could have a few minutes to look at the choices, she said, “No girl. It’s already a miracle that I’m getting this done for you.” I was taking a picture of the lining choices at the time she said this, and in my live picture you can hear her saying this. I almost said never mind at that moment and walked out because I felt so rushed on such a big purchase, and I didn’t feel like I was being treated very well. I stayed to complete this visit, however, because I did need a suit for this conference regardless if the experience was good or not. She continued the fitting and measured me, and then asked for my credit card to pay. When I asked if there was any way I could see how the suit was going to look (even just a picture on her computer), she said, “No, our programs don’t do that” and charged my card. When I asked her about a silk scarf to put with it, she said, “I have a few but you really need a Hermes scarf. Don’t tell me you don’t know what Hermes is.” She then asked me to refer my friends to her, but “only the ones who could also afford really nice things.” From walking in the building to leaving, the visit took about 15 minutes. The swatches of material to look at were pretty tiny, there was nothing to try on, nor was I able to see the final product on a screen. This would’ve been fine, however, if the experience was better. By the time I got to my car from the building, I was in tears because of the way I was treated. I felt like I was treated like a second class citizen and like I owed Tate for asking her for help. The sale was basically already made from the time I reached out to Tate, but after I was rushed, didn’t get to look at most options and was talked down to, I text Tate five minutes after I left the building and apologized (I didn’t really owe an apology but was trying to be nice) and cancelled the order. She cancelled it, but then proceeded to block me on social media. It was an extremely unprofessional and disheartening experience. This person saw me as a quick sale and didn’t care about the way I felt or how the suit would look as long as she got to charge my card at the end. If she was afraid the suit wouldn’t have been done on time, I would’ve rather her been up front and said that and I would’ve ordered a suit for a different event later on. Instead, she rushed everything and treated me very poorly because “she was doing me a favor.” I am hesitant to try to make a custom suit through Tom James again because of this experience. I would not recommend this person."
