"This is my response to the generic reply to my original review. The phone number goes nowhere. @sportsmanwharehouse if you truly want to speak to me about my concerns then please provide a number to speak with someone. Normally everyone is nice and knowledgeable, in my experience. My last two visits have been different. Barry at the gun counter pretends to be knowledgeable. To be entirely honest, he has no clue what he's talking about and is very rude. He told me all pistol lights need to be custom fitted (which obviously isn't true). I explained to him why its not true, went to purchase a light and he followed me to the counter. I can only assume he was making an assumption i was going to steal. I was in the store yesterday, to buy a belt with my son, and he proceeded to stare at us without any offer of assistance. Ive probably spent 5k in this store but will never come back if Barry is there."

"Went in to buy a safe. They had a LOT to choose from, however, they are ALL locked with an electronic keypad. They seem to think this is preferred by tech-savvy customers. It's not, they are the most delicate, the easiest to break into, and ANY fire will destroy it. If that happens, you have to get someone out TO DRILL the safe. Yeah, you have to get a safe-cracker to break into the safe. With a dial safe, it takes a much hotter fire to damage it, AND you can often just replace the dial to open the safe. AND you have to get a third party company to deliver and install your 800 pound safe. But the employees were nice!"

"Been going here since it opened and after my last visit it's hard to say if I'll be back. With 4 people behind the counter and only 3 customers in the store, I asked them to show me what ammo they have available for my specific weapon because the isle is just a pile of all types of ammo and I didn't have time to sit there and read the entire inventory to find only ammo for 1 of my guns. Instead the old man and woman he was working with barely looked up at me and just pointed me to an isle. I explained I wanted them to show me and the response was that they were obviously way to busy for me. There was at least one other person in the back too and it was like 2:30-3 PM on a weekday, it wasn't even busy at all but the employees all were way too busy for a customer. They hardly looked up at me even though I had already spent several minutes trying to navigate the ammo isle. I know that old guy's been there since it was pretty much opened and I've purchased two or three guns from him directly so I'm really surprised for the disrespect. I guess he didn't realize I can just come on here and put him on blast did he? I went directly to Murdoch's across the street and they were thrilled to talk to me about ammo and show me exactly everything they have that would work in the specific gun (I'm sorry I purchased from Sportsman's instead) I was shopping for. It took the guy about 1.5 minutes to explain all of it and also tell me about the two types they didn't have that I could possibly find on another day. I can understand why at the same time of day there was easily 10 times more people at this place. With customer service like that Sportsman's will be joining Gander Mountain soon enough."

"Great store with a large selection of brands and products for your outdoor sports and adventure needs. Womens selection is not as large but I was able to find very reasonably priced/quality hiking pants. Their Labor Day sale was pretty decent. The staff is very nice and the store is kept clean and well organized. I enjoyed my shopping experience"
