"I paid a retainer fee for services on March 13th by a VISA debit card. I was very disappointed when for over a week after that I either didn’t receive a response by emails or was told he would call back by a certain time and didn’t. Kept getting excuses as to why. On March 20th I sent an email stating I was terminating services and had retained a different attorney due to the lack of responsiveness. He responded back that he had someone out on maternity leave and he thought he would have the time to work on my case but was sorry he wasn’t able to. Requested the retainer fee be refunded on that day. April 1st I sent an email stating I hadn’t seen the refund in my account. Received an email back from his assistant stating that someone was out on maternity leave but she would speak to Phillip about it. Heard nothing back. I emailed April 5th and received no response back. April 10th I again contacted them. Phillip responded back that he would get it taken care of. Wednesday April 17th I received a voicemail saying he was sorry, had been out of town and didn’t leave checks for the staff to send out but he would get it taken care of. I was out of town at the time but when I got home Sunday, it was not in the mail. I emailed yesterday stating I still did not have it and stated I could come by the office. No response. And it’s not in the mail today, April 23. I’m having to file a claim with my VISA now to dispute the charges. The refund should have been automatic and applied to my VISA when I terminated and didn’t use services. The repeated requests and being told that it was being taken care is not only unprofessional but is greatly affecting me personally since I have been unemployed since March 15th. Based on a previous review, it appears this has been an issue before."
