U-Haul Moving & Storage of Waukee

"I just had the unfortunate experience of having my daughter break-down half way through her drive back home from college. After taking her car to several auto repair shops we realized there was not going to be an easy fix so we contacted U-Haul to find a truck that could tow a car carrier so that she could drive the remaining 900+ miles home and deal with it here. This location was the closest that had the truck and trailer we needed. I called ahead to make sure everything was still available and explained the situation to the general manager, Trinity. After he heard about our problems he gave me his personal number to reach out to him if there was anything else I needed before my daughter arrived. When she got there the staff was amazing. Very quick check out and they took the trailer off her car and loaded her vehicle onto the car carrier. Not only that, the staff working (Trinity, Matt and Peter) helped her transfer her belongings from her previous trailer into the truck. As soon as she left she called me to tell me how these men made her horrible day a little bit better through their kindness and hard work. I can't thank the staff enough for all their help and would recommend this location to anyone!!"

"Watch out for this place. As they do have a couple honest dudes there. They will absolutely try to rip you off. Rented my trailer for in town drop off. Picked it up at 432 pm. Dropped off at 430. When dropping it off the honest dude told me they said they tried calling and tried charging me for another 24 hours!!! Seems they had another pickup at 4. So when the dude showed up early instead of having customer service skills he tried charging me. Won't be coming back here!!!"

"Peter helped us at pick up and was awesome. It was chaos Sunday morning with lots of people waiting. He stayed calm, professional, friendly and helped us get the right trailer. He was literally running in the parking lot to be as quick as he could be. Ashley at drop off was great. Made the check in process quick and efficient. Great job! Defiantly will drive to waukee vs other locations because of the service of these 2 people."

"This place is climate controlled, they have carts to help move things from your vehicle to your unit. Best of all you back up to an inside dock to unload.."

"Such a large facility, with broad isles, clean storage area,huge loading bays, carts for mobility. The restrooms are immaculate. Drinking fountain with cone cups, water dispenses cold. Great storage facility!"
