"it's a good place, always seen quickly and nurses are always nice, but i have to take a star off because of one specific doctor. he doesn't listen and has brushed off my concerns TWICE now. aside from him, the other doctors there are great. he's the only one that I've had any issues with, the other doctors listen and will do all they can to help. i say it's a good place to go for urgent care, as long as you don't get the old male doctor. maybe he's different with other patients, but that's my personal experience. wasn't listened to whatsoever and left feeling like I'd wasted my time even coming in. wanted to give a shout-out to Dr. Johnson, she's truly an amazing doctor and my personal favorite to be seen by. very friendly, kind, listens, and always willing to help. you can tell she truly cares about her patients and is genuinely a really good doctor. wish she could be my primary! lol"

"I travel for work and needed to see a doctor while here in Des Moines. When I arrived the receptionist were very sweet and caring, the place was neat and clean. My nurse was great and my doctor was even better. She was very thorough, seemed to care and took her time. I didn’t feel like a number and I wasn’t rushed but I was in and out with in a very reasonable time! Highly recommend!"

"I was seen at this clinic today for an extremely painful cyst. I was also feeling feverish. There was no wait and the receptionist got me into a room ASAP as it was painful to sit. The nurse came in first and was incredibly patient, caring, and focused on the issue. The doctor who came in next was not. She rolled her eyes when I asked questions and was clearly impatient. I honestly felt like I was inconveniencing her. She barely examined the cyst before deciding she could do nothing for me. She did not seem to care about the amount of pain I was in. After consulting another doctor, she told me told me she wanted me to go to the ER for a CT and she would call ahead. I asked her if it was the Broadlawns ER she was calling and she was very curt with her response. I tried to ask her questions and received eye rolls and frustrated sighs. We decided to go with the Broadlawns ER and when I got there, they never received a call from her and we had to start all the way over from the beginning. Thankfully, the doctors at the ER were able to lance the cyst and sent me up with a surgery referral. They were incredibly kind and patient and answered all of my questions. The CityVille Broadlawns Urgent Care Clinic is very close to where I live and is a convenient option. However, after this experience, neither I nor my friend who came with me for support will be going back. The last thing you need when you are in a lot of pain and are confused about what’s happening is to deal with a rude and impatient doctor. There is obviously a reason there’s short wait times and it’s because of the doctor’s bedside manner."
