Northstar Vacation Rentals

"Worst rental experiences I have ever had in Northstar. I checked in early and the staff told me that they would message me once the unit was ready. We called them a few times to check and they told me that the housekeeping team was still working in the unit. We waited till 4pm and turned out no one was there. They just hold our unit for no reason. On the day of checking out (check out time was 11am) I was woken up by the housekeeping team around 7:30. I told them we were going to check out at 11. Even that, they came to our unit twice (8:30 then 9:30) to knock on the door again. They just wanted to force you to leave. There are many other vacation rental companies in Northstar and I have very good experience with any of them. If you like to stay inside Northstar better pick other options than this!"

"Made a reservation for the condos at Northstar. They don't provide any details regarding where your reserved condo is located. However, our listing did state a 5-10min walk to the village. I called to confirm the distance as our party included an infant and my grandmother. They confirmed that they would note the account and confirmed arrangements for our situation. Upon arrival the condo was NOT walking distance at all and they made no note to the reservation. Failed on two parts, 1) not walkable to village at all, 2) did not note our situation. Would not recommend. *No air conditioning in summer. I get that it's Tahoe but it's been 90+ degrees out. Not stated in the condo listing."

"Our stay at Northstar was very nice. We did visit in the middle of the week so it was pretty much empty. Our only issue during our visit was in our room. There was a smell in our room that we assumed was from it being vacant for a while, which was fine it went away. However it was pretty dusty too. The headboard was dusty and so was our pillows. Everything else seemed okay cleanliness wise. Our room was extremely hot. We did not have the heater on. It got so hot in our room that we had to slightly open the sliding door to the balcony even though it was around 10 degrees outside. Other than those two issues our visit was nice."

"Went snowboarding for the first time of the season and had a great time. The staff were all very kind and pleasant and luckily the conditions were pretty good! Our friend started feeling like she might pass out at the top of the mountain and the medics were professional, helpful, and didn't pressure us into anything at all. Overall just a great experienc."
