Crunch Fitness - Sparks

"Absolute worst gym in the Reno/Sparks area. Staff misinforms you on membership/cancellation policies and will not stick by the word of the employees. Had been a member of other Crunch locations and this is the worst yet, never coming back. On top of the membership issues, front desk staff is always on their phone (does not greet) and equipment is always poorly kept and out of order. This gym needs new management or needs to be shut down."

"Used to be a decent gym, lately it’s been going downhill. Pieces of equipment will be down and out of service for months, with no estimate on time of repair. The sauna went over 6 months with no light bulbs, the leg extension machine has been broken for weeks on end. Multiple cable machines are broken, almost all of the pads are worn through on the machines. I tried asking the employees as to when these items will be addressed and was met with, “I don’t know, I just work here.” Will be looking into a new gym if the conditions don’t change soon."

"Gym is nice. Equipment is nice. Men's locker room blasts terrible rock music on a volume setting of 12. Even at 5 a.m. the volume setting is 12. You can not even hear your own ear buds. I have brought it up with the staff to no avail. I joined this gym because it has a sauna but unless you want to jam out to Blue Oyster Cult and Rush at 5 a.m. with the speakers as loud as they go it is un usable."

"This place is a SCAM!! I’ve had a terrible experience here. Have been gyming here for years and these guys are just a money making machine not customer friendly. I upgraded to add my mom as a guest for a month and then charged me fees and raised my membership by 20/ month and I got charged 10 bucks again to downgrade. I got also charged a 59.99 annual fee and was told I need to give a month notice to cancel my membership. They just won’t let you leave and will haggle you for every dollar to close your account. I don’t know why I had to pay so many fees when I’m simply trying to leave. Read the fine print when you sign up with them. They say there is no contract but bind you with all these extra fees when you are trying to leave. Also a few months ago I got my bag stolen from the locker room and they did not take any action to find the culprit. There low fees are enticing but they don’t back up the customer experience."
