"The menu options taste as good or better than they look! I had the veal dish with mushroom sauce and a calamari appetizer, and now I’m one happy guy! I’ve been eating a lot of local fish daily on this island visit, so it’s nice to experience homemade, “back home” comfort food … for a change. Super tasty and fresh! This place is always hopping, so make a reservation! (I had to add to this critique on a separate visit, and I must say the pasta with meat sauce is mind blowing! The overhead background music is very progressive & chill, which I love. This owner and restaurant are very hip and it’s got it all happening on Kauai!)"

"When we arrived, there was a short wait but it actually took 30+ minutes to be seated. The server was pretty quick to get our food and drinks order. The food took a while to come. It took appx 80 minutes from the time we arrived at the restaurant to when our food arrived. The food was great though. Would recommend the truffle Parmesan fries and Alfredo pasta."

"We had a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We shared a salad of Kailani field greens with tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots. It was a refreshing and light salad, with a tangy balsamic vinegar dressing. Also ordered truffle parmesan fries with three sauces. They were crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The sauces were all homemade and complemented the fries well. The housemade pesto pasta with Kauai basil, macadamia nuts, and parmesan cheese. It was one of the best pasta dishes I have tasted. The pesto sauce was fresh, fragrant, and nutty. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the cheese added a nice touch of saltiness. The staff was very courteous and attentive. They checked on us frequently and refilled our drinks. They also gave us some complimentary bread and olive oil. The restaurant had a cozy and elegant atmosphere, with soft music and dim lighting. They also had a good vegetarian menu, with many options to choose from. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food. It was a great dining experience."

"If I could give this place 6 stars, I absolutely would. The staff is serving the most Aloha of any place I have been on the island. I highly recommend the truffle parmesan fries if you are interested... all of their sauces are house-made. (I recommend the ranch.) These portions are GENEROUS. I highly recommend the spaghetti and meat sauce because it is DELICIOUS."
