Kuma Sushi

"With the inherent limitations in the variety and quality of sushi-grade fish available in the area, they are very creative with their dishes. Everything I tried tasted good and fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive."

"First time here and we will definitely be back. Everything about this place was great, except for a minor hiccup; we’ll save that for later. The restaurant is super cute with modern décor. There is good music and videos on three separate TVs. Our group of four were the first to arrive upon opening at 11am, so we were served pretty fast. Even by the time we left, there were about 7-8 tables of two, and service was still quick. The quality of the food, particularly the fish was really good; everything was fresh and tasty. None of us got sick so that’s good news. We also liked the size of the rolls and pieces. They are a little smaller than most sushi places, but we appreciated that bc it allowed us to try lots of different rolls when doing the AYCE menu. We went at lunch and I think it was $25 for the AYCE. The only thing we didn’t like but will not deter us from coming back is their form to fill out. I’ve seen these forms, and yes, it’s pretty standard and makes it easy to order, IF it’s for TWO people max. But with FOUR people who were not sharing the rolls, it made it complicated to know who ordered what. So in the end, we ended up having to share bc sometimes we didn’t know which roll was which, and who ordered what. We asked if we could do two people to a form and the waitress said yes, BUT that the food would come out separately, hence they want you to order on ONE form for you whole party. The funny thing is, we ordered on one form as they preferred, but the orders still didn’t all come at one time. Other than that, this place is fantastic. We’ll be back on our next visit to Reno. Few things to note: the sushi restaurant is at a small strip mall so there’s plenty of parking; we took and uber and it was a $10 ride from downtown."

"My beautiful wife and I came here for AYCE at lunch. Not too busy. The service was fantastic. The sushi and sashimi was A1 quality. We didn't have wait very long. Parking may be a bit tight during lunch and dinner. I would recommend Kuma for their sushi. Next time, I may try their other menu items."

"Super new sushi place in Reno and turns out the best sushi I've had in Reno AYCE! Price is about the same as everybody else, but the food is amazing better! They have dishes here that no one else has, creative stuff. The fish is so dang good here, they told me daily deliveries. try it out and decide!"
