"Me and the girlfriend have been meaning to try this place out for a while. It always seems busy, so we figured it must have good food. So today on a Saturday around 4:30 we decided to stop in for an early dinner. This is a bar and grill type setup, so we weren’t expecting anything much more than normal bar food. They actually had a very good looking menu. We started out with an appetizer of some buffalo chicken wings. They came out in probably less than 5 minutes to our surprise. Very quick. They however were really overdone (but didn’t look it.. kinda weird) and very dried out. They also had a microwaved taste to them. But whatever, onto the dinner. I ordered a steak medium rare and my girlfriend ordered their flat bread pizza. The food finally comes out and looks great! I cut into my steak and it’s VERY well done. So well done that it was hard to swallow. (I will admit it was seasoned well). My meal came with asparagus that was extremely salty. On to my gf’s pizza. Again, looked great but the bottom side of the pizza was black. Black char. She ate the topside of the pizza and said that part was ok. I don’t want to bag on this to hard as my thoughts were just an inexperienced cook. Preparation was good, just a little off that what was ordered. Atmosphere was fun, the place was clean and out waitress was very nice and checked on us frequently. A few changes in the kitchen and this could be a lot better."

"Really impressed with this place and the service provided. The walleye fingers were to die for. We received our food fairly and we were happy with the taste and quantity. My kids loved their kid's meals. Price of food was a little on the high side."

"Chatters is a delightful surprise in the humble town of Monticello. While the pace of service fits the pace of the town, this hidden gem reminds us all to slow down and enjoy a good meal with family, friends, and even strangers you may meet at the sizable and expansive bar. I do not recommend ordering takeout but, would encourage anyone to dine-in and have a couple of stiff beverages with some delightful appetizers (I highly recommend the cheese curds). As you down a couple of beers and meet a few friends, you should be assured that there is no need to rush through the plethora of flavors available to your pallet. I highly recommend this destination to locals and anyone passing through town as Chatters is conveniently located right off of I-94."

"Stopped in for lunch. Service was good , she had knowledge of the menu and even recommendations for different tastes. 2 of these items are considered their hot sellers I can see why. The shrimp taco was not something I would get again the breaded shrimp was oily. The burger was good had great flavor and the deep fried burrito is something you would see at the state fair."
