"I was transferring here because this is what my insurance covered and I love my current vet and I now have transferred back I realize it was a mistake my cat has anxiety he's an older cat he's also been recently diagnosed with arthritis and And hyper thyroidism I have been taking him for regular visits on the tea I had the records transferred the day before I had made the appointment actually two days before I called to confirm to make sure all of his records were transferred and I was told that That yes they were transferred and I confirmed that we were coming to establish care and that he needed his Silencia shot for the arthritis as the month was up and asked if there would be any problems whatsoever doing this in fact when I had scheduled Prior they confirmed that that would be the case as well the morning of the visits I Calls stating that they never received the records I called my old office they said they sent them and had to resend them I also confirmed at that time once they were excepted that he could just get his Silencia vaccine 30 minutes prior to the appointment I had trouble getting my card I made a phone call and confirmed again that this is what we were needing and I just needed probably a tech visit at that point they said the doctor was gonna need to have extensive lab work I explain that my cat had extensive lab work a go what I found out as they were actually going to wait until I got there to ins insist on a $300 block bloodwork for his kidneys when it was alreadyt tested so had made calls I was talking to Ronnie and Laura and how do you been interrupted or the phone was disconnected three times and neither case did they call me back including the time when they were supposed to call me back when the records were sent this all threw off my day for four hours on top of it I canceled the appointment because it wasn't gonna be what I needed for my cats best care I have now transferred back to my vet and I have learned my lesson"

"When I took my dog in I had one specific issue I wanted diagnosed and one that I wanted an educated guess on, the one that I wanted diagnosed was ignored and never talked about, all. He wanted to talk about was the issue that I wanted an opinion on, next thing I know his assistant comes in with $2000 of lab work and biopsies he wanted to do, and he never addressed the issue that I wanted diagnosed, he didn't offer up any medication to use to dissolve the problem, then when I told him how old I know her to be he argued with me saying she wasn't as old as I know she is, I don't know if he had a bad day or what, but he wasn't showing the compassion I was hoping for, nor was he listening to anything I was trying to to tell him, I'm not a big fan. I finally told his assistant that I wanted her rabies shot updated and that was all, what ever else he had down on that paper was irrelevant and he didn't even look at the sty on her eye that was the reason I took her in in the first place! His assistant was very sweet and she apologized and took every thing else off of the bill he had written up for me, so his $2000 bill was reduced to $79 and I took my dog and left, going home I apologized to my dog for putting her through that for nothing. Sorry I just didn't like his bedside manner or his condescending way he talked to me like I wasn't taking care of my dog if I couldn't pay for all the crap he was saying he needed to do. And had I I don't think I would still have her, but I do have her she is still alive and doing fine at 14 years old, although she still has the sty nothing I've done has completely gotten rid of it, although it isn't as big as it was."

"The staff is caring and professional. Dr. Heffelman is a great veterinarian. He saved the life of the rescue dog we adopted. Turned out the dog had a massive heartworm infection. The doctor saved her life through his careful treatment, making sure she tolerated each procedure, which can be dangerous, before doing the next treatment. Today our dog is healthy and happy."

"First of all, I would like to start positive. The office staff is friendly and helpful. My complaint is with the doctor. Sadly, when doctors get their degree, they sometimes stop their research. In this instance, his lack of knowledge with the narcissistic attitude led to numerous challenges. Constantly being brought in on a bi-weekly process to provide care for my animal. We spoke about medications that were working and which ones did not work. Never once did he listen to what was working. He would remove the medication that was working and try a new medication. After 2 months of misdiagnosis, I had to put my animal down. I would recommend that this doctor start going above and beyond and start increasing his knowledge. When he thinks he knows what he knows, he needs to know how much he doesn't know."
