Legacy Traditional School - Glendale is a tuition-free K-8 public charter school located at 13901 North 67th Avenue in Glendale, Arizona. We are currently accepting applications for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 school years. Our back-to-basics curriculum focuses on developing important characteristics in students from kindergarten to 8th grade, including strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics. Students at Legacy impact their communities through arts, athletics, and innovative clubs and programs.
As a public charter school, we welcome applications for all grades and invite you to schedule an in-person tour to learn more about life at Legacy. Our Tuition-Free Half-Day Kindergarten program prepares young learners for success in school and life, focusing on language, math, reading readiness, and creativity. Our elementary school program includes an accelerated pace of Language Arts and mathematics, high academic and behavioral expectations, self-contained classrooms, and bell-to-bell instruction.

"My son's 1st grade teacher was amazing but administrating is absolutely unforgiving if your kid isn't a perfect angel. My son definitely has some behavioral issues- he's dramatic and very social but also advanced academically. He was suspended in first grade (seriously!) 3 timed for behavior issues- for which they made me leave work at a hospital to pick him up and miss work several times. The kids are expected to keep quiet in the halls as well. No talking allowed. It just isn't a place where a social kid will flourish."
"My kids have gone there since it opened. They do well, have a good ciriculum and the structure and uniforms are a plus. The drive-line and parking situation brings this rating down, it is AWFUL! The drive-line has at times taken 40 mins to pick up! 20-30 mins is not uncommon. And there is no on-site parking to walk in and avoid the line, you get forced to exit via the drive-line. They should add parking in the vacant lot north or hire police to close a lane on 67th to speed the exiting from the lot. Great school, but the traffic issue is a serious consideration when you are choosing this school."

"Breath of fresh air, after pulling my son from the public school. He is being encouraged in his learning in class. Plus the dress code is more along the lines of what he prefers to wear, which was looked down on in his last school."
"I had my three kids enrolled in this school from the start of the year and have been let down by the staff in regards to my kids education and treatment. two of my kids are autistic and the school kept holding back on performing a IEP evaluation on them. The principle is a self absorbed and refuses to work with parents. The teachers are hit and miss. The lunch payment system like to charge you for items that your kids did not purchase and then let them go without eating. Its sad that this campus is so bad as I have other friends with kids in other legacy schools and seem to love it. I hop there board will look into the issues at this location and send the principle to sensitivity training"
