"When my daughter approached me about a year ago and asked my opinion about my grandchildren attending a Montessori school. I have to admit I was very hesitant about them enrolling. I did not have a good opinion about past Montessori students I know and their experiences within the Montessori school program. To my surprise I absolutely love this school. We have a 4 year granddaughter that attends this school. She has been enrolled since August 2023. We have noticed a huge change in her responsibility level and temperament. When she gets home from school, she takes her shoes off, puts them in her room, hangs up her book bag and cleans out her lunchbox. She absolutely loves helping around the house, preparing her lunch, cleaning up the bathroom after she takes a bath and getting her clothes ready for the next day. She participates in household activities that she never has had an interest in before. She has learned how to communicate better and has a sense of calmness. We also have a 6 1/2 year-old grandson that just started attending Guidepost Montessori in Goodyear. He was struggling in the public school system. Just within this last week we have noticed his temperament improving. He is not as anxious and wants to go to school. He’s sleeping better and making better choices. The staff is so caring and communicates on a daily basis. The executive director Kim Anderson is devoted to the development of each and every one of the students. She is calm, caring and so intuitive to the students needs. Kims staff or team is absolutely amazing. Heather Riney the front office administrator always has a smile on her face. Even during the chaos of remodeling of the school, she never missed a beat. She’s extremely organized and cares about all of the students. Tara Mott has been so helpful on many levels. From touring the school, to registration, helping with any needs we have had in order for my two grandchildren to be able to attend the school. She has been very informative, cheerful, knowledgeable and so kind. She truly cares about the student and works so hard to overcome any obstacle for your child to be able to attend Guidepost Goodyear. The staff within the classrooms are caring and attentive to your students needs. Mrs Doll takes the time to get to know your students learning strengths and weaknesses. She is kind, loving and cares so dearly for your child. Melissa Kuchar has welcomed our grandson in the middle of the school year with open arms. She has made his transition to a new environment go very smoothly and our grandson has not felt nervous or unwelcome in anyway. Miss Maribel is one of our granddaughters favorite people. She has learned Spanish as a four-year-old and absolutely loves staying in aftercare so that she can spend time with her. Our grandchildren are excited to talk about their daily experiences everyday when I pick them up from school. I want to apologize, because I know I’m forgetting to mention some of the other staff members. Our family has had SEVERAL life altering emergencies within the last year. It has given me such peace knowing that my grandchildren are in a safe, nurturing, loving environment. I cannot say enough about the team at Guidepost Goodyear. I would highly recommend the school and staff in every way."
