"Short Version: I got ripped off $550 on used wheels that are bent and unusable without repair by an employee of this shop. The wheels were presented as used but functional. I was fooled because I thought I was buying from the shop itself and not just an employee. Request for even partial refund was refused and the employee further wasted my time by setting a meeting to refund me then no-showing. Spoke to the owner, nothing he was willing to do to help me. Full Story: I recently purchased some used 17” wheels from a person named Bannon who works at Elite Tire Co. specifically the location on South Power Rd. I knew the wheels were used but when I purchased them they did hold air and seemed to be functional. Plus I picked up the wheels from Elite’s Power Rd location and was told they were good to use. Fast forward about a week I I go to get new tires mounted and balanced on these wheels by a different shop (only used a different shop because they were closer to my location at the time) and I was told the wheels were severely bent and needed to be repaired before any new tires could be mounted. I am obviously caught off guard by this and send this communication to Bannon at Elite Tire Co. via his offer up profile “WhiteRiceThrift”. Again, I was not expecting perfection from these wheels, but I did expect them to at least be functional. I then take the wheels to a different tire place to get a second opinion and they confirm the same thing, and even showed me the wobble in the wheels on the balancing tool. At this point I reach out to Bannon again and ask for a partial refund. I paid $550 for the wheels and offered to return them and only take $500 back, letting him keep the $50. I called the Elite Tire Co shop on Main st. In Mesa and spoke to Bannon on 8/24/23 and he confirmed to meet me at the shop on Power Rd at 9am on 8/25/23. I get to the power Rd shop at 9am and Bannon no shows. I then drive to the Main st shop to speak with him there and he isn’t there but I did get to speak with the owner. The owner explains they sometime buy used wheels to resell and of course all sales are final on resell wheels (though he was surprised Bannon wasn’t at work that day). My frustrations here are 1) I bought the wheels because I thought I was buying from a shop and not just an employee of a shop. 2) if I had been told all sales were final I wouldn’t have bought them (again I thought I was buying from a reputable shop) and 3) All Bannon had to do was tell me the sale was final and there was nothing he could do vs. set an appointment with me and waste my time on top of wasting my money. Overall be careful dealing with Elite Tire Co. as they have employees on staff who are not honest. Do not buy anything from the OfferUp profile WhiteRiceThrift."

"Yesterday afternoon, just before the long 4th of July weekend, I picked up a nail in one of my tires somewhere on the wonderful US60 Superstition Freeway. When the tire pressure warning light came on, I was luckily only a few blocks from home. Arriving in my garage I was able to hear the last bit of air hissing out of my Audi's front right tire. Being the start of a holiday weekend, I was skeptical I could find a tire shop that could quickly replace a Pirelli specialty all-season tire. I gave Justin at Elite Tire Co. a call. In talking with him, I was blown away by his excellent customer service. Not only did he let me know he could make arrangements for a custom delivery of a replacement tire on Saturday (today), but if I was able to drop the tire off at his shop, he could get the tire mounted by around noon. I took my tire to his shop on South Power Rd. and placed it behind his business as instructed. Justin called just a short time ago to let me know the replacement tire had come in and it was mounted and ready for pick-up. Justin and his crew made it happen - even on a holiday weekend! If you need a tire replacement or repair - Elite Tire Co. is the "Best of the Best" when it comes to customer service!! Thanks again Justin!!"
